I agree with Jackie Robinsons method of civil disobedience even though he knows he can never be non-violent. I do not agree with Malcolm X and the nation of Islam approach because it is more violent and aggressive even though they do not want to live together with whites. I believe that the civil rights movement was about making a change for African Americans and the only way to make a change is through nonviolent acts. The civil rights movement was to make a change and Malcolm X and the nation of Islam's approach would have caused more problems than solved any for African Americans. Malcolm X believed that blacks should live separately from white's and he called it separation. Which is what was happening at that time but he argued that segregation
