They were hiding in Anne’s dad’s Otto Frank’s company building for two years before they they were found and sended to concentration camp to Germany. One of these people was a 13 year old girl named Anne, who was born in Germany, to an extent, she was a normal teenager, she went to school, loved spending time with her friends, had a very close relationship with her father and often butt heads with her mom. Her life was normal, joyful, that was of course until one day Anne’s sister, Margot received a deportation letter from the Gastapo calling her to one of the concentration camps in Nazi Germany. It was hard to keep hope, but through constant encouragement from each other, they managed to stay hopeful, even through the hardest times. "For the past two years we have lived in fear.
The most important thing that the Franks and Van Daans went through was a time of fear. No matter how much happiness came through in their lives they always had fear jumbled up inside their heads. As the Frank family and the Van Daans were cooped up in the annex- the place of hiding they were practiclly shocked and very fearful of the Nazi’s. Being fearful was something that came upon them and was totally normal for a person to have like the Franks and Van Daans, because everyone is fearful no matter what type of predicament their trapped in.
It was on her 13th birthday that she got a diary. In her diary, she wrote about her friendships, crushes and her academic performance at school. Anne had an older sister named Margot, and they attended a Jewish school in Amsterdam. In this diary, the Franks moved to Netherlands from Germany because they feared prosecution. After the Germans invaded the Netherlands in 1940, the Franks, another family called the van Daans and Mr Russell hid in a small secret annex above Otto Frank’s, Anne’s father’s office.
However, one day, they were caught and sent to concentration camps. Anne’s father, Otto Frank, was the only one from the Annex to survive. Otto Frank later published the motivation and stories of his daughter. The story of Anne Frank became a beloved and inspiring work of literature all around the world.
