The Crucible was introduce in 1958 by an American playwright Arthur Miller. This kind of play is a theatrical play of a town of Salem, place on the Province of Massachusetts. A group of girls become ill and falling victims of witch craft. This kind of terrifying event is often recognized as being controlled by the devil. This kind of sickness drove the town fear of witching and it not only the girls are being accuse of witch craft, the other residents of Salem is consorting with the devil and casting spell. The count of Salem gave an unfair trial, to those individual who contradict of witchcraft. The only deference, the people of Salem is to say the truth or lie. Elizabeth tries to protect her husband reputation and name by lying, made the whole situation even worst, by putting her husband in jail. The state where John Proctor is in have to two choices whether he stay in jail and be hang or to lie and clear his name.
There are two choice that the people of Salem have to do, do not say anything and will be killed or lie/confess, to order to honor their as an induvial, and most of them have to do this to keep their name and pure.
