On October 28, 2007, 23-year-old Stacy Ann Cales Peterson, of Bolingbrook, Illinois was reported missing by her sister. Stacy was the fourth wife of Bolingbrook Police Sergeant Drew Peterson, who was 30 years his junior. They married in fall 2003 and had two children together, a son born in 2003 and a daughter born in 2005. The disappearance of Stacy raised suspicion of foul play among investigators, family and friends based on the fact Drew Peterson’s third wife was found dead just three years before (FindLaw, 2015). On March 1, 2004, the third ex-wife of Drew Peterson, Kathleen Savio, was found dead in the waterless bathtub of her home. Josh Powell was a person of interest in the disappearance of his wife Susan Powell in 2009; despite of disappearance Josh was never charged. Josh at that point in time had custody of two boys Charlie and Braden. Josh’s father Steven Powell also lived with josh and the two boys. (Comb, 2012) On December 7th, 2009 Josh and Susan failed to drop the kids off at daycare in Utah and Susan herself failed to show up to work that morning.
Scott Peterson appeared before the judge and a diverse jury. Scott sent to Death Row in California. Peterson’s wife and unborn child remains were washed upon the very lake sight that Scott would take his boat. Scott denied all allegations about him knowing the bodies were visible to his eye at the time they surfaced. Laci’s body was recovered with several limbs missing such as; her hands, her feet, and her head.
The state did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Scott Peterson killed Laci and Conner.

He attended high school there as well and eventually went to college at California Polytechnic State University where he would also work part-time as a waiter in a cafe. On Wednesday, 06/15/2016 at approximately 1611 hours, Jackson County Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call for an ambulance. The caller wanted an ambulance for a 2 year old boy that nearly drowned. The location of the incident was at the Spring Arbor subdivision beach area, which was located at the end of Spring Arbor Dr. Carbondale, Jackson County, Illinois. On February 25, 2010 Chelsea King, a 17 year old cross country runner from Poway high school, went for a run around Lake Hodges in Escondido. She took longer than expected worrying her parents. At 6 pm that evening her parents filed a missing person's report. The community came together to search for her hoping she was still alive.
