The San Antonio Spurs The San Antonio Spurs were founded in 1967 by Irving Allen Mathews. They were originally named the Dallas Chaparrals, then the Texas Chaparrals, which both played in the ABA, but then were changed to the San Antonio Spurs in 1973 and joined the NBA in 1976. Now the Spurs are one of of the best, if not the best, basketball franchises ever. I think that they are the best because of their consistency of winning.

Frederick Jackson Turner first spoke to an audience about the Turner Thesis during the 1893 Chicago World Fair. This event was the central ground of American superiority. Many different business groups of diverse backgrounds met to share new products, values and aspects of their culture. Turner stated in one of his speeches at an American Historians seminar that the american frontier or the desire to settle in an area of open and free land will always remain in effect. Due to the lack of land to expand in our continent, America would look overseas.
Liberty, the county seat of Clay County, is one of the many suburbs surrounding Kansas City. Although Liberty was technically established before Kansas City, the growth of the latter has played a significant part in Liberty's growth. Many residents of Liberty commute to Kansas City to work, attend cultural events or further their education. However, this does not mean that Liberty is a bedroom community; it is a self-sufficient community with a proud heritage and a thriving economy. When the owners of residential or commercial properties in Liberty need asphalt sealcoating, asphalt paving, concrete installation, asphalt crack repairs, parking lot striping or other pavement-related services, they often call All Pro Asphalt.
Midlothian Middle School has been the place covering up hundreds of pieces of history these past hundreds of years. So much history that one could have a hard time memorizing all of it. There is one story though, one that stuck around. Always there, knocking on the back of your head asking to come into your mind like when someone knocks on your door asking to come in. The spot where Midlothian Middle school stands today sure has been a hotspot for some interesting history.

The Iowa State Fair is the most influential events throughout the state of Iowa during the month of August. As the United States faces many changes, every state under its regime is affected. This is why Texas always seems to be facing issue after issue. According to current college students attending different universities in the state of Texas, the problems Texas has recently been facing ranges from: high rates of accidents caused by highway constructions; influx of illegal immigrants crossing over especially here in Brownsville; to the smuggling of drugs into the country since the Gulf of Mexico is so close. However, surprisingly each of these students living in different cities within the state have expressed that the most worrisome current issue Texas has been struggling with is funding the educational system.
In addition to educational exhibits, the fair also provided an opportunity for entertainment. The world 's first Ferris wheel performed on the fair 's Midway, as did a zoo, a fun house, and a swimming pool. Not only did foreign countries send authorized displays, entrepreneurs also accumulated displays depicting life in the villages of less prosperous countries. Many people who went to the fair took side tours to see shows, which had set up just outdoor the fair grounds. The fair made Chicago the nation 's informal capital in the summer of 1893, but by the spring of 1894 the city was again mainly known for its ongoing struggle between employers and workers.
The Texas Longhorn was a decedent from the Spanish cattle introduced about two-hundred years earlier. These breed of cattle are known for their unique color, and their huge horns which can grow up to seven feet long. By 1865, about five million roamed the Texas grassland.
The World’s Fair of 1893 was supposed to be a temporary celebration of Columbus’s discovery of America, while also outdoing the French (Paris hosted the previous World’s Fair). It turned out to be a huge protagonist in the changing of American culture. It allowed Chicago to become “one of the first cities to adopt aspects of the new City Beautiful movement” (Maranzani).
