Being involved in the learning process of others is vitally important to me. I believe that as an educator, we have the capability and responsibility to help mold not only students educational goals, but to help mold them into successful adults that sill contribute to society. Many times during my life I have been a teacher, a counselor, a cheerleader and a role model for my students. Every student is at a different point in their learning process and cycle, and a good educator can find that point and capitalize on what the student needs next. We all have different gifts and talents that make us succeed in various fields, however, knowing how to cultivate that talent is what sets apart the leaders from the followers.
In my own learning quest I have traveled down many roads to get to where I am at now. When I initially graduated from college, I went right into the

I had no previous experience with this type of work; however, my desire to learn propelled me to a management position within a year. I passed several tests and received several certifications while at JF Allen Company. I was an Aggregate Inspector, Concrete Inspector/Technician, Asphalt Inspector/Technician, WV Certified Engineeering Technician, FAA Asphalt Inspector/Technician and Super pave Asphalt Technician. I was asked by the State of WV to be part of a roundtable discussion and committee that created guidelines in regards to Asphalt Paving that met in Baton Rouge, LA. I was promoted to Quality Control Manager and supervised several employees and a fleet of trucks. While at JF Allen I also attended the University of Villanova and received a certificate in Human Resource Management. I really enjoyed this type of work and I was very successful. The only downfall to this line of work was the amount of time that I spent away from my family. Therefore, I made the decision that I needed to return back to my first love,
In my 5 years with the company I was cross-trained in multiple positions to fit the company’s needs. As a Veterinary Technician, I showcased my veterinary skillset daily such as diagnostic work for hospitalization, anesthesia monitoring, and administrating medication. As a Receptionist & Client Services Associate, I performed administrative office duties such as inputting information of health records and billing into the company database all in a fast paced environment.
I crafted a program that would not only teach the required skills but also focus on employee satisfaction and retention. Each new employee is evaluated and the training is adjusted to fit their abilities and learning style. Another key position I fill in my current employment is as a liaison between the employees and the owners. I communicate the desires and needs of each
It was through these experiences that I cemented in my heart a love of education. While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I took one step further to make sure that teaching was my true passion. I decided to become a substitute
I decided to change career paths in 2015. I had already been awarded my bachelor’s degree in business management with a concentration in small business and desire to utilize my degree. I interact with recruiters on daily basis regarding reserve officer applicants and active officer applicants.
The power of education beings with a great foundation. I believe that we are all born with an innate drive to learn and every child should have the opportunity to experience the power of education in a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment. For this environment to be successful, I will provide students with the space to express themselves, opportunities to explore their curiosity, and ¬experiences in which they are able to grow as individuals. It is my goal, as an educator, to help students discover and foster their ability to learn and build upon their foundation of knowledge. To achieve these goals, it is important that I first understand the role schools within society, the role of students, my role as an educator, the design of my curriculum/classroom management strategies, and the role of parents within my classroom.

I want students to be able to learn and appreciate the complexity which is our nervous system. I want to foster a passion for all things neuroscience. I want students to conduct research in neuroscience so they can focus on one area and have top universities see their research. Research that they were able to accomplish at a high school without high tech labs or vast resources. I want students to get to places that I could never imagine.
This past year as student-intern I have learned so many new things that will help me become the teacher that I hope to become one day. Not only have I learned things that relate to myself but such things that relate to how my students learn and what might need to be done to help accommodate them and their individual needs. Adolescents are going through an extremely important stage during their lives and as educators we need to provide them with the correct information in order to help succeed. They experience many changes physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. All middle level students are going through the developmental process and they need to have a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere where they can grow intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally, and morally.
When I first started welding, there was a labor shortage in a number of skilled trades, particularly affecting the welding profession. I happened to have the opportunity to train as a welder and became great
Thinking about my future classroom and the structure and organization I will put into order, I realize that this will depend largely on what kind of students I have in my classroom. I recognize that as a teacher, I will play a tremendous role in guiding my students. Many may not have much of a structured life at home. Some may not have a mother figure and result in being the mother figure themselves! Depending on their age, a student will be required to assume different levels of responsibility.
Goals and Philosophy The goals of my research program are as follows: • Develop a diverse and productive research program based on psychological principles. • Provide a strong scientific basis for the utilization of psychological standards and research methods to repair ensuing problems in the working environment and enhance personal satisfaction. • Work at training graduate and undergraduate students in research and study workplace productivity, management, and employee working styles. This will introduce methods to improve the morale, and personality of the personnel for a company or organization.
During my summer visit to my grandmother’s home, I watched her wake up at early dawn every morning to start her daily lessons for summer camp. It was an exciting time for me. I can still smell the summer breeze as we begin to prepare for the day. My grandmother owned her own school ( what kind) and taught for many years. I eagerly helped her prepare the lessons for the day alongside my aunts and cousins.
Teaching philosophy is described by Sadker and Sadker as, “Behind every school and every teacher is a set of related beliefs - a philosophy of education – that influences what and how students are taught. A philosophy of education represents answers to questions about the purpose of schooling, a teacher’s role and what should be taught and by what methods.” (Teacher, Schools and Society. 2005). With this definition in consideration, my teaching philosophy is “I believe that children learn best when they are given the chance to choose, discuss and explore what they want to learn, when they want to learn and how they want to learn.
