Most of the times, people only need someone to talk to. There are instances that people are stuck in a situation. No matter what they do, they just could not get out. They need someone who would be willing to listen until their frustrations lowers down, if not resolved. It pays off, it helps someone to live. You need not be the air that they breathe, but you can show them how, or give them something to help them breath. Accompany them to a trip to a cozy restaurant or coffee shop. Do not be afraid to stretch yourself out. True happiness can be found by giving happiness. It has been said, you reap what you sow. Sow happiness and you will reap the same. Live a fulfilled life. Just keep doing well. That goodness you have sown will one day find its recipient and will be blessed by
The world is selfish place, full of selfish people with cruel intentions. No one does anything descent or kind for anyone else, without it benefitting themselves in some kind of way. Kindness (generosity?) isn 't free. We all pay for it in the end…eventually.

My heart was racing. In spite of his old age, he was quite vigorous. In his words I felt warmth and compassion. He told me, “I want you to deliver a message of life.” Since I hadn’t thought seriously about life and death, I was about to face a tremendous

People can be very selfish even when their initial intentions are good. If people could learn to be more selfless, the world would be a much more genuine
"This life is yours. Take the power to choose what you want to do and do it well. Take the power to love what you want in life and love it honestly. Take the power to walk in the forest and be a part of nature. Take the power to control your own life.
Steve Jobs’ assertion, “ Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart,” is valid because by remembering that in the end, we will all die. We should not contain our way of thinking and how we want to live life. By remembering that life is short, our minds will begin to think differently and perceive life differently.
In Germany during World War Two was a time where everyone had to fight for themselves to survive, using and sacrificing others in the bloody, crippling, concentration camps. That is what almost everyone would think at first, because most humans want to live and experience what the world can offer. However, there are certain situations where people do the opposite and perform actions for the sake of others and that would harm themselves. In the comic book series of Maus by Art Spiegelman, book Night by Elie Wiesel, movie The Book Thief directed by Brian Percival, and there is a parallel idea. The common theme within these several works is self-sacrifice.

Intro: Sometimes in life we are given a choice. Some make us happy, some we regret , and others are the most difficult decisions we will ever have to make. We all live our lives fully aware that at some point we will end up dying just like everybody else in the world no matter how much we avoid addressing the fact. You wake up everyday with the routine you have created for yourself, until you hit an unexpected bump. You have six months to live.
As individuals, we control how we act, our beliefs, what we say, and the outlook we have on life. Something we cannot control is different people. While other people can have negative intentions, we own how we respond, we own our beliefs, and our motivations. American Basketball coach John Wooden says, “Be true to yourself, help others, make each day your masterpiece, make friendship a fine art, drink deeply from good books - especially the Bible, build a shelter against a rainy day, give thanks for your blessings and pray for guidance every day.” From this we can learn that kindness, friendship, and equality are important; even if others are bringing you down.
Running To Survive Imagine running for your life, everyday, from the moment you wake up. Wild animals must do this in order to survive. Some animals run away from others to not be killed. Others run to hunt so they can eat and live another day.
The writer, Isabel Allende once stated, “We don’t even know how strong we are until we are forced to bring that hidden strength forward. In the times of tragedy, of war, of necessity, people do amazing things.” Survival is not something that most people have in mind. Many people don’t have to suffer to survive, however in the case of a tragedy, disaster, or harsh environments, survival is a necessity. To survive, their mind must be completely set on the goal.
I remember being told by someone who was lots wiser than myself, there are givers and takers in this world. I have always known, I'm a giver. I have felt that it was kind of my purpose in life to make sure that others were okay. Now I find out that giving to others also makes you happy.
