The average salary for NBA players is about $7.7 million annually. What would you do with millions of dollars. The NBA stands for the National basketball association, and this is where professional basketball athletes compete. This is an example of one organization that gives pro-athletes an outlet for income, which some would say they are overpaid. Due to the health risks that athletes have, and the rigorous physical and mental training athletes endure, athletes are not overpaid. The health risks of athletes mentally they are paid sufficiently. Athletes go through the same struggles all of us go through. Car payments, Relationships issues, Family issues. They also put added pressure on them to succeed, you are watching them for entertainment, but these are real people needing to feed their families. “Among professional athletes data shows that up to 35% of elite athletes suffer from a mental health crisis which may manifest as stress, eating disorders, burnout, or depression and anxiety.” This proves that athletes have a lot of mental struggles that a lot of would not have to deal with working office jobs. …show more content…

Athletes don’t always just go through mental struggles they tone their bodies to perfection. While you are eating take-out from your favorite restaurant, they are working to maintain excellence in every aspect. Eating and working out to get peak performance.
