Probably the most well known and popular form of meditation happens to be transcendental meditation, also well-known as TM. Maharishi started a tour around the world in 1958 teaching this technique to those in the Far East. Later he would give lectures in Europe and the United States as well on this method of meditation. Celebrities have been espousing the benefits of meditation for decades. It all started when Paul McCartney, and the rest of The Beatles, studied meditation with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 1960s. Seems like Transcedental Meditation is quite popular among famous folks. But not only them. Well I am not sure but it appears that this ‘Transcendental’ thing has been one of the most popular crazes in Western world. Just type any of the keywords related to meditation in Google and you will be surprised to see the numbers of TM® related websites on the results pages. OK so if all of them meditate it must be some kind of benefit from it, but the question is that so many famous and let say rich people do TM, it must be costly? Well, it depends really, since there are many kinds of meditation, but according to many studies Transcedental Meditation or TM is the most validated’ program. The other „advantage of TM that it's effortless.The TM movement began in 1956 in India and is now worldwide, claiming more than 5 million followers, though the actual number of TM advocates is probably much smaller. Despite it’s being so much visible and dominant on the world of internet & other media, including Print and TV, there is not even a single instruction of TM available for the use of General Public. If you want to learn it, you’ll have to spend a few hundred dollars for learning it from any of the authorized TM centers spread world over. Now, about whether TM is right for you: the answer is probably yes. The reason is that TM doesn't solve just a handful of specific problems, it actually eliminates the inner stored stresses that cause all problems in life. So that is all up to you if you are willing to pay such amount of money, or perhaps you are going to pay even more visting your shrink. With TM things are clear. You pay to be a student of TM, pay one time payment, you would be tought the proper technique of TM and after that can use it daily.
