Bullying is seen all over the world in every school. I believe that bullying should not be apart of our world. Bullying not only affects kids who are bullied but it also has effects on bystanders and the bully themselves. The one person it affects the most though is the person getting bullied. It can cause them to have mental, physical, school, and health issues. One example of a school issue is children can become more focused on getting bullied that there grades will drop and there attendance will become bad. Kids who bully others also are affected. They are more likely to abuse alcohol and drugs, have criminal offences as an adult, and be abusive in relationships. Lastly .it affects bystanders. Bystanders are more likely to have an increased
In most schools, nearly half of all teachers are never trained in bullying prevention. Bullies are mostly cruel to innocent young children. Only one-third of students between ages 12 - 18 report being bullied. Students now judge or will be judged by the way they look, dress, speak, or their hair style. Over 2,000 American teenagers turn to suicide because of bullying.
In the article, “The Myths of Bullying,” author and public issues analyzer, John Cloud, argues that bullying and its effects have been exaggerated and the ways used to combat bullying have done more harm than good. Initially, Cloud suggests that due to the media and its coverage on certain cases, bullying has been made out to be an epidemic. However, he believes that bullying is no more of a problem than it was years ago by providing the statistic “that 37% of students don’t feel safe at school. That figure has remained stable over decades.”
I believe that districts should take a comprehensive approach to bullying. There should be collaboration between school administrators, teachers, parents and students to tackle bullying. In addition, school administrators should encourage victims and student witnesses to report bullying. Research also suggests that providing supervision in hallways and other areas can help to reduce bullying on and off campus. School leaders must always act on bullying reports and keep proper
According to the CDC 20 percent report being bullied (“Bullying leads to depression”). Bullying is a used superior strength or influence to intimidate someone, typically to force him or her to do what one wants. Bullying seems to be one act that crosses all barriers of caste ethic origin, or sex. Some of the reasons are lack of positive attitude and feedback from understanding our teachers. Also, positive feedback at home from communicating with family.
Bullying should stop it has gone too far. Some ways that the principal and students can stop this are that the teachers can give the kids a lower grade. Other ways that bullying can be stopped is that you can be kind to the kid that is being bullied. Show them you care by trying to include them.
Bullying is an undesirable, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves actual disparity of power. According to Megan Brooks bullying is a serious public health problems, with significant short-and long-term psychological consequences for the child who is bullied and the child who is the bully. This only tells us that bullying can lead to difficulty that a certain children may experience and will have either short or long term problem. “Bullying has long been tolerated as a rite of passage among children and adolescents, but it has lasting, negative consequences and cannot simply be ignored.” Committee chair Frederick Rivera, MD.

Bullying is not good for a child learning experience because it can make one nervous and can make one dislike learning. This may mean that one will not try hard enough to pass or even drop out. This can cause problems later in life. Stop bullying could lower the number of people who drop out. About one in every ten students drop out of school because of bullying.

Bullying in Schools What seems fun and harmless for some students, is painful and degrading to others. Bullying has been a critical issue around schools, but before it was not as dangerous and know as it is now. These do not means bullying was not happening, it means it was not taken into consideration by parents or teachers. They thought it was just peer pressure or a kids game, and sooner or later the kids would be friends again. At one point, bullies think it’s normal to be mean and abusive to other students.
Bullies are free to torment their victims via text messages, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to name a few. Schools have an inherent responsibility to create an atmosphere that is safe for all students. If the schools do not provide a positive environment bullying runs rampant and this can have unfavorable effects to a student’s psyche as well as how the victim interacts in the classroom environment. When an individual is bullied they try to find ways to avoid the bullying situation. They may fake a sickness to stay home or even drop out of school altogether.
For example if bulling continues at school and school doesn’t take action on this attitude, the entire school can be affected. Student may get anxious and tend to not like school. As the adults don’t take action and try to prevent bulling, children may feel that teachers and other school staff have little control over the students and don’t care what happens to them. Moreover Students who witness bullying can also be affected. They may feel guilty for not helping or scared that they will be the next target (gomasa, n.d.).
Bullying Can Be Prevented Bullying is a form of violence to pick on victims because they are different from their bullies, have insecurity/jealousy or home problems. The hate towards their victim has something to do with the victim having an unusual gift or being intelligent the bullies has yet to become. It is important that this behavior should be prevented or it will become worse. Bullying is one of the main issues public and private schools have to face on a day-to-day basis. When the bully takes it too far, the victim snaps and retaliates by fighting him/her back physically or verbally.
Bullying is defined as repeated oppression, physical or psychological of a less powerful individual by a more powerful individual, people or group. It consists of three main types of abuse which are physical, verbal and emotional. Bullying in schools is a common and worldwide spread problem that can have critical and negative implications on the general school climate as well as on the right of students to study in a safe and secure environment without fear. Many people believe that bullying is part of life, happens in all schools and so it’s not an issue to worry about and that it lets individuals know what life is all about as it toughens them but in reality bullying is a detrimental problem that affects most school going children and teenagers physically, emotionally and socially.
