Perseus Jackson is a hero . Their is no true definition of a hero. A hero can be a superhero who saves lives or an ordinary person like you and me. Heroes can also be fictional characters like demigods, Gods, and witches. One demigod named Perseus Jackson is a hero because he shows the traits that heroes should posses. Such as braveness, intelligence, and humility. When Percy, Annabeth and Grover Were at the arch, they split up and Percy was in the most danger because on the way in the elevator, he was stopped by these two people, a fat old lady and her dog who later transform to Echidna and her son Chimera. The only way Percy could save himself was by jumping out of the hole into the Mississippi. At first he was scared that his father would not save him, but as brave as he was, “I turned and jumped. For example, Percy makes plans, like the buses they will take, to get them where they need to be. And since he knows all the possible routes, he also assists Grover and Annabeth along the way. For example, Toward the end of the story Percy, “told Annabeth and Grover how to get back to Half-Blood Hill and let Chiron know what had happened.” This serves to show that Percy is intelligent in making routes, finding the path, and getting to the right
When Percy thinks he is not normal, it also helps create suspense for the reader. He thinks he is not normal because not an everyday kid sees a man that “had only one eye” watching him as he played at the playground. He also was found strangling a snake with his “meaty toddler hands.” These create suspense because it leaves the reader to wonder why a one eyed man was following him,
Within Ways of Reading, by Anthony Petrosky, there is an excerpt called the "Loss of the Creature", by Walker Percy. In Percy's excerpt, he writes about many different stories and examples that are all about different things. He talks of a man who takes a trip to France and his 'it' experience. Percy also uses many terms within his short excerpt. These terms include but do not exclude the 'Consumer' and the 'Expert and Planner'.
What causes a book to be filed under the bad book category? In Walker Percy's essay, Another Message in the Bottle, he very boldly states that bad books always lie. According to Percy, a book that lies about the human condition, does not fit, and does not give pleasure is a bad book. If bad books always lie, why don't all authors just write about truthful things. Sometimes an author will lie about the human condition because they believe it will make the story more interesting.
They then board a boat lead by a school mate, and a crew full of dead soldiers. The boat eventually is destroyed and Percy thinks everyone died except him, and Annabeth. When Percy, and Annabeth get to the Island, they find out that Grover is being held captive by Polyphemus(a cyclops). They save Grover and the thing that can save Thalia's tree which will save Camp Half Blood. A golden fleece is what they needed to save the tree.

He also has dilexia and ADHD because of his God reflexes. In the middle Clarissa summoned a monster to kill Percy. She summoned the monster because Percy nailed her in the face with his shield. He as well made her drink toilet water in the bathroom when she was trying to give him a swirly.
Percy lives but except he's completely dry, and he has the ability to breath underwater. A messenger who looks like Sally Jackson appears. They tell him to travel to Santa Monica before he goes to the Underworld. When he swims out of the water and finds Grover and Annabeth, he explains everything that just happened. Right after, a woman spots him calling Percy out for causing an explosion in the arch.
"The Sea of Monsters" by Rick Riordan is the second book in the "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" arrangement. In this book, Percy Jackson goes up against a mission to spare his dearest Camp Half Blood. Percy Jackson is seen nearing the finish of his seventh grade year and even though amped up for being finished with the school, and going to Camp Half Blood for the late spring, Percy is worried about a nightmare dream he has had in regards to his companion Grover. Percy doesn't know what the fantasy has implied but rather at last chooses he needs to concentrate on school. Initially, when Percy played capture the flag in his camp, his persevere characteristic kept him alive. Annabeth was very close to killing him, but he never gave up, and fought for his team. Subsequently, Percy's mom was abducted by the Minotaur. He wouldn't let his loving and caring mom just go away like that. He snatched the Minotaur horn off of it, and stabbed it with it.
This was an honor for Percy which brought a great honor into Percy’s life. But, it also brought more danger into into Percy’s life like being attacked by many monsters including people like the kindly
Percy discovered he was a demi-god in the sixth grade, when a monster chased after him and his mom. After being placed at Camp Half-Blood, he found out who he really is and what he must do to to protect the camp. Percy is a brave and determined demi-god who would do anything to protect what he loves. After his first quest to return Zeus 's lightning bolt, Percy has realized he can’t let anything happen to Camp Half-Blood. Once he found out that the magical borders have been poisoned, he makes it his mission to go save the camp and get the only cure.
Also Percy is smart because he knows his way around things. Some of Percy's inner conflicts were ADXD and he had a crazy mind. In the book, it says he has ADXD. Before Percy has a crazy mind because of all this monsters. Overall the monsters are messing up his mind with a this fighting and playing.
Percy showed a lot of courage when he accepted the quest to face all of the monsters.it takes courage to accept the challenge to go out into the world and fight the monsters. ” do you miss being on the quest” luke asked percy after his quest, “what, with monsters attacking me every meter.” There are clearly lots of monsters on the quest because when annabeth said “so far so good, ten miles and no monster attakces” she sounded a bit surprised and glad but also worried that there were lots of monsters waiting for them around every corner. Percy showed lots of courage and so did annabeth but annabeth also showed determination. annabeth showed determination to want to go on a quest.
