Scenario of the incident The incident happened on May 20, 2016, at approximately 18:00. The incident takes place on 222 Citation Way, Happy Town, GA 15486. The witness, Feet Security Officer Bo Foot, said that there were three suspects went to the store walking to the Big Feet area. According to the Security Officer Bo Feet, watched the first suspect put three dozen pairs of the Big Guy brand socks in his pants. The security officer began to follow the suspects into the Hammer Toe section of socks. He saw the second suspect took two dozen pairs of Hang Nail Free brand of socks and put them into the third suspect’s purse. The suspects saw Security Officer Foot approach them and started to run. He recognized all three of the suspects. He asked the Security Officer Bo Foot to watch them. When a few minutes passed, he heard someone yell as one of the suspects bumped into Bo Foot. He said to him that they stole the merchandise. The second witness, Bo Foot, a security officer the store, was told by Tonell to keep an eye on the three people who walked into the store. Bo Foot saw a big white guy take some socks and put it in pants. He then watched the second guy give the female the socks and put it into her purse. When he started to approach them, they ran and the one of the suspects ran into him and escaped. The third witness, Andrea Sianturi, an employee of the store, said that while she was working, she watched one the suspects shoved a bunch of socks in his pants. She then saw all three suspects ran and one of them bumped into the security officer. Andrea recognized one of the suspects as Bubba Hurt. The last witness, Susan Bunion, a customer, said that while she was shopping in the store, she saw a guy and a girl in the Hang Free Nail sock section. Susan recognized two suspects as Skeeter and Summer. She saw them put the socks into Summer’s purse. Susan heard yelling and watched Skeeter and a big guy ran out through the back door. There are many different types of Georgia theft. There is theft by taking, deception, conversion, services, receiving stolen property, lost or mislaid property, and shoplifting. What the three suspects committed was theft by shoplifting. It either involves any attempt to hide any items, change prices of items, or did not pay for an item that was taken out from the store. On July 29, 2003 Detective Jason Leavitt was a part of a decoy operation with an undercover arrest team ; he was dressed on black jeans, a dirty short- sleeved flannel shirt on top of a dirty-t shirt, and a baseball cap to apart as a drunk homeless man . Detective Leavitt carried Twenty one-dollar bills in his breast pocket, to attract a thief. Leavitt was on the block of 200 Main St across from the Greyhound station. The Appellant Richard Miller approached Detective Leavitt on this very street to ask him for money. Detective Leavitt told Miller he was not going to give him an money, Leavitt testified that the appellant put his arm around him and asked him to go get a drink.

Loomis Fargo Robbery Kevin Beal San Diego State University Introduction There are many robberies registered in the history of America, but the Loomis Fargo Robbery is known to be the second largest robbery in the United States. The robbery was committed by David Scott Ghantt who was the vault supervisor and accomplices Kelly Campbell, Steve Chambers, Michelle Chambers, Michael Gobies, and other four members. They robbed $17.3 million in cash and the crime was committed in Charlotte, North Carolina. The theory that will be used to analyze this event is the Routine Activity Theory. This theory developed by Felson and Cohen says that there are three elements necessary for a crime to occur.

Paper Shoplifting is when a person walks into the store, with or without the intention of stealing in mind, picks up an item and walks out without paying for said item. There are a couple reasons why people shoplift, some are; one, the person is seeking some sort of thrill out of it or two, they do not have the money for the item they (are) stealing/stole. When shoplifters take things off the shelves and don’t pay for them the prices of the items that other consumers buy will have to go up to compensate for the items the shoplifters steal.

Car theft is one of the ugly experience that any car owner will never want to have in his life time. In United Sate according to FBI ,for every 40 seconds a car is reported stolen. This can happen probably to people anywhere at any time (during the day or night) ,it could be when people go for shopping at a shopping mall, a meeting outside the city or enter a restaurant to have nice lunch probably during break time at work just to relax and take a lunch at the nearby restaurant. For instance , assuming after taken your lunch and you are set to go and you came out from the restaurant and you walk majestically to the car park ,on getting their you find out that your car is missing. Larceny is simply another word for theft. According to Schmalleger & Hall (2014), larceny is defined as “the trespassing or wrongful taking and carrying away (asportation) of the personal property of another with intent to steal (p. 269). The four elements of larceny go as followed: trespassory taking, and carrying away, of the personal property of another, with intent to steal. Trespassory taking involves a person taking property not belonging to them without the permission of the actual owner(s). The next element of larceny is carrying away, which entails that the items stolen have been physically moved away from where they belong by the criminal in question.
Shoplifting is one of the crime that has been existing in our society today. It is considered as a significant problem adversely affecting both the establishment or store and consumers. It is because of a high financial loss, some people tend to commit shoplifting to support their needs. This kind of crime does not only exist in our place but also in other country. (Farrington, 1993).
The definition of property crime in The National Crime Victimization Survey has describe it as,” burglary, motor vehicle theft, and theft. This category includes both attempted and completed crimes”(). Property crime is one the most crime that is reported. Property crimes is ten times more prevalent than violent crime. It seem population density is to deter crime but that is not truly true because it seem that high density it offer a perfect oppuorunity for property crime .
Windham High School is a public school that isn’t known for any significant honor codes or systems. It is a school that states its rules at least annually and advises that all students should follow all stated or written rules accordingly. Despite these rules involving consequences for cheating, stealing or plagiarising, my school community still involves a high level of distrust and occasional suspicions of dishonesty. My school, Windham High School, should implement an honor code (against stealing) to improve my school’s waivering sense of community and to reignite the focus of all students academically inside and outside the classroom.
