In order to collect systems requirements, we implemented the JAD method. We chose this method for determining systems requirements because it allowed us to simultaneously gather information from a lot of people that worked in “Fit-4-Life Fitness Center”. By conducting this method we got the feedback that as the business increased, paperwork has become an obstacle for keeping track with the records of the business.

In the JAD session, we created a dynamic in which all participants were told to identify the characteristics of software that they were looking for. The purpose of this dynamic was to conclude with the implementation of a system that would match with the fitness center’s desire. Therefore, we focused the session on the basic system features and capabilities. With Microsoft Access allows users to create their own databases, facilitating their creating through various tools, such as several pre-established templates, for the work of planning the functions of the database. It facilitates the administration of the data, because it allows great possibilities of consulting them, helping to find the desired data quickly, regardless of the format in which they are or where they are stored. It allows the creation of forms, graphics and combinations of reports within a single database document, streamlining its management, as well as the search for the data that is inserted in the databases created with this program.
