A phase of matter is a uniform with respect to both its physical and chemical properties. Matter undergoes phase transitions that change from one phase to another. A state of matter is a form that matter can take such as solids, liquids, gases, and even plasmas. There are some other states of matter that appear under extreme conditions but these are the main ones you use in your everyday lives. For example, imagine you have gatorade and water. Water and gatorade are both liquids. Thus, gatorade and water have the same “state”. But, as anyone who has tried to mix these two liquids together knows, they are not the same “phase”. Gatorade and water are not composed of the exact same things so even though they might have the same state, they do
This was invented by scientists from the University of Florida, for football players to drink during practice and games. The basic idea was to hydrate the players faster than just normal water would by regenerating electrolytes. In the mid 1930’s, the stadium that is still known as home for the Gators was known as Florida Field. The name was changed in 1989, to show how much the team was grateful for the college benefactor by the name of Ben Hill Griffin, Jr who gave money towards revamping the stadium.
Not only is bottled water extremely regulated, but it is also a viable source of hydration for individuals in times of need; therefore one like myself once again disagree with Annie Leonard’s position against bottled water with evidence provided by IBWA. In the article, “Bottled Water Matters,” IBWA had shown the viability of bottled water through their statement, “ Bottled water companies respond with efficiency and speed with regard to provide bottled water in coordination with emergency relief operations.” This statement clearly demonstrates how bottled water can be very essential and lifesaving in times of need. For example, in a disaster like an earthquake, buildings, including tap faucets, would be demolish by the forces of nature.
Lastly Gatorade has been proven to be a better equipped sports drink shown right here,“Gatorade contains 160 milligrams of sodium and 45 milligrams of potassium per serving, while Powerade contains 150 milligrams of sodium and 35 milligrams of potassium per serving. By comparison, Gatorade is slightly superior at replacing lost electrolytes.” As you can see Gatorade is better equipped for athletes proving the point that Gatorade is better than Powerade. In conclusion Gatorade and Powerade are very similar, but Powerade is less equipped for the task unlike Gatorade.
The information is clear from this ad that Gatorade is made for people that workout to gain back the electrolytes, and not for casual people to drink in general. The cashier says, “You need to sweat it to get it, you have to burn some to earn some” The Gatorade ad still uses logo by educating the public, the purpose of the sports drink is to work out, then drink
Many processes across base requires hazardous chemical interaction. Knowing if a chemical is hazardous is key to keep Airmen safe and the work environment healthy. The Hazardous Communication Standard defines the following hazards: Physical hazards - a chemical for which there is valid scientifically evidence that it is an agent or activity posing a potential hazard to a person or property. Most common are: • Flammable o Aerosol – a mist yielding a flame projecting over 18 inches at full valve opening o Gas – a gas at ambient temperature and pressure, forms a flammable mixture with air at a concentration of 13 percent by volume or less o Solid – a solid other than a blasting agent or explosive that is liable to cause fire through friction • Explosives – a
Some people hate Gatorade because once you're drinking it, you tend to get a little bit more dehydrated so you would have to drink water afterwards. For some people that's not true at all. If Gatorade is your favorite drink, maybe you should more into it. Florida has a lot of criminal laws, including Theft, Telemarketing, Murder, Kidnapping, Drug and other laws. The main one that's been common in the united states now is Identity Theft Laws.
Within the chemical reaction are two different parts, the reactant and product. The reactant, “an initial substance in a chemical reaction” was the alka-seltzer tablets, before they were placed into the water. For instance, when the untouched alka-seltzer was then placed into the water, it formed the product, “the final substance in the chemical reaction” (Tro, 2018). Now, by looking at how the water, or the solvent, dissolved the alka-seltzer tablet, it then created a solute, or a “dissolved substance” (Shuster, 2014). Another example, on a personal level, of a chemical reaction was, whenever I had a sore throat, as a child, my
If a person does not drink enough water, he or she may become dehydrated. A person who not drink enough I water may become severely dehydrated which could cause death it causes death from lung failure and heavily breathing. Some side effects of being dehydrated are when you have dry mouth or a person might have sore throat or a person could get very tired or have a headache. If a person does not drink water, he or she could die from it or could get very sick. Why it is important to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water?
Being a person of sports and fitness, the brand ‘Gatorade’ is quite familiar. Gatorade isn't just any sports drink but a sports drink that is known for its exquisite taste and excellent job at replacing ones electrolytes. Gatorade is a beverage most enjoy but for athletes it is practically a blessing. The world known drink motivates and pushes its athletes to go above and beyond and to be sure to hydrate as well. In one of the many Gatorade commercials out there, I was able to see as to how Gatorade used ethos, pathos and logos to both amuse and convince its audience.

Introduction: Melting is the change of a solid into a liquid when heat is applied. Melting will occur at a fixed temperature which known as melting point. Melting point is the temperature at which the solid and liquid forms of a pure substance can exist in equilibrium. The temperature will increase until the melting point is reached when heat is applied. Heat will convert the solid into a liquid with no temperature change.
HYPOTHESIS Water will have a lower voltage than the energy drinks and the energy drinks will have the around the same voltage. VARIABLES Independent Variable - The liquid being used, water and the four different energy
Argumentative Essay: Is Tap Water Better than Bottled Water? Bottled water ranks high among the fastest growing product in the beverage market/industry around the world. In other words, the world’s consumption of the bottled water is on the increase.
The principles of using acid catalyzed carbohydrate dehydration as a quantifier was sufficiently communicated, and the possible sources of error that resulted in a relatively inaccurate determination of the total carbohydrate concentration in the soda and Gatorade will be taken into consideration if conducting this analysis in the
Another example would be water, water can be a liquid, a gas, and a solid. These are all appearances but they all contradict each others appearances. If
