When propaganda is used in an argument, speech or debate it allows the speaker to gain trust and cooperation with the audience. Fear is a popular propaganda technique, which is used by leaders to gain support by threatening the audience with a traumatic event. In the novel Animal Farm, Old Major gives a speech that inflicts fear in the animals, “no animal escapes the cruel knife in the end” (Orwell 5). He is urging the animals to fight back against the tragedy that they live in. In chapter 3, Squealer needed the pigs to work harder so he asked them if they “know what would happen if we pigs failed in our duty? Jones would come back! Yes, Jones would come back!” (Orwell 16). Squealer uses the fear of Jones to persuade the pigs to work harder. Another way fear can be used is by intimidating the entire community. For example, Napoleon used the visual image of “huge dogs… as fierce-looking as wolves” during his speech to inflict fear on Snowball and the Farm (Orwell 23). Propaganda is in all aspects of daily life , from advertisements on tv to buy a certain product ,to campaign posters and stickers promoting a candidate. Propaganda is around us twenty four seven. It persuades a personal opinion in a good way , but in some cases it does just the opposite. Propaganda comes in many forms such as glittering generalities,stacked cards,negative attacks , endorsements , and many more .It's used in a time of need such as the civil war and in time of want such as elections and advertisements of a product.
John F. Kennedy once said,”No matter how big the lie; repeat it often enough and the masses will regard it as the truth.” Just like what John F. Kennedy said, propaganda works when repeated in truth. There are many good examples of propaganda, World War 2 for example. Hitler used propaganda as a main source of inspiration for his army. INTRODUCTION Propaganda is the act of influencing or planting an opinion into a community's mind. It is used during war and played a major part in both World Wars. It was, and is, used to influence enemy countries, neutral countries as well as your own people. Throughout history, governments have used propaganda as a powerful tool for gathering support for wars among its citizens, and the period during World War I was no different. In order for a powerful defense and attack during war, it was not enough for the government to fight.

Propaganda was used during the war to get boys to join the war, females to work in the factories , to grow their own food to save food for the soldiers, and to make the enemy look bad. The purpose of propaganda was to get an audience to do or believe something. They would do this by making posters that would be around the cities. They added images to catch the attention of their audience, saying something that tugs at a person's heart or strings, and saying something that might not be true to get their point

Throughout history, people have used political propaganda to gain support. Some have used it in the positive way to promote great things. Others unfortunately used it in a negative way and abused it. In addition, the consequences of that behavior was never forgotten. In order to be successful in using the propaganda, one must begin by using it in a positive way in order to appeal to the masses of people to gain their support.
Fear as well, can be used in propaganda. Typically fear tells the audience that if you don’t do this act or get this, a horrible event may happen to you ("Propaganda
