Giovanni da Verrazzano was born in 1485 in Greve in Chianti, Italy. He was italian. He then died in 1528 in Guadeloupe because of cannibalism. He was introduced to explore at any early age. He first went to Egypt and Syria two places that seemed mysterious. Sometime between 1507 and 1508 he went to France. He met King Francis I. He came in contact with some member of the French Navy, and started to understand some of the Navy's missions. He went through the Atlantic Coast of North America between the Carolinas and Newfoundland, including New York Harbor in 1524. The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. Verrazzano got four ships prepared with ammo, cannons, lifeboats, and scientific equipment. The four ships names were Delfina, Normanda, Santa Maria, and Vittoria. The Santa Maria and Vittoria were lost in a storm in the sea while the Normanda and Delfina were in a battle with spanish ships. At the end of it all only the people aboard of Delfina were alive and began to sail to the new world. After 50 days of being on the sea the men aboard Delfina sighted land thought to be near Cape Fear, North Carolina. Verrazzano first steered his ship south, but he came upon the tip of Florida, so then he turned and headed north. On April 17, 1524 the Delfina entered The Bay of New York. He landed on the southern tip of Manhattan, where he stayed until a storm sent him towards Martha´s Vineyard. He came to a stop at a place now known as Newport, Rhode Island. Their mission is to find a new trade routes to India, besides going through the Mediterranean, or going around Africa, for gold and spices. Queen Isabella, The Queen of Spain, funded Columbus's journey.
Columbus was not satisfied though. He wanted to sail, so he set off for Ireland and Iceland with the merchant marine in 1477. Columbus continued to sail and trade, traveling down West Africa and learning about Portuguese navigation. In 1484, Columbus asked King John II for aid in crossing the Atlantic, but he was denied. He sailed out westerward on a ship named, Santa Maria and two caravels, The Pinta and The Nina. With him he took ninety men to accompaniate him. They were now on their way to what Colombus thought was " Asia". On October 12, they hit land.

In July the same year 1498, Christopher landed on the island known as Trinidad. The next month christopher explored the gulf of Paria and then finally touched South America. One of christopher biggest achievements in life was discovering the island of Hispaniola. Since he discovered the island of Hispaniola, it led to the beginning of the Spanish colonization. Christopher’s final voyage he convinced king ferdinand that if he went on one last voyage it would bring riches so the king was convinced and let him go on his last voyage.

Each men and their fleets had two completely different reason for their travel. Christopher Columbus purpose was to find a new trade way to the Asian countries. Zheng He's purpose was to enlarge empires control of seaway trade.
Introduction John Cabot was an Italian navigator and explorer. He who was also the first European to discover the coast of North America. John Cabot was born in Genoa, Italy somewhere around in the 1450 and died in 1509 late after his successful voyage he later died in 1509. His father, Giulio Caboto, was a spice merchant. John Cabot had a brother named Piero.
The 16th century Spanish explorer, Hernando De Soto arrived in the west indies as a young man and made money in slave trade. Seeking glory and riches, he left on a major expedition in 1538 to conquer Florida for Spain. He and his men traveled throughout the southeastern united states in search of money. In 1541, De Soto became the first Europeans to cross the Mississippi river. De Soto died early the following year.

After Christopher Columbus and the men traveled Cuba and the Bahamas, they found an island named La Isla Espanol, which is Hispaniola. In late November of 1493, Christopher Columbus arrived in Hispaniola in order to find La Navidad, which is a fort, only soon to find out that it had been destroyed with everyone killed. He discovered the fort being destroyed and the men killed with his group of 1200 men. When Christopher Columbus was in Port de la Navidad, he knew that he had to behave himself, so he can give a good impression upon his enterprise.
Michelangelo Buonarroti was born on March 6, 1475 in Caprese near Arezzo, Tuscany. Michelangelo was best known for his artistic abilities. He was responsible for legendary pieces such as “David”, “Pieta”, the “Last Judgement”, and the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. His career was started with the help of the Medici family, whose control he constantly tried to escape throughout the rest of his life. After Michelangelo’s death at age 88, the Medici family smuggled his corpse into Florence in a hay-basket for a grand funeral.2
Quebec was in Canada and in the continent North America. He explored Quebec in 1535. He got there and it was very cold. When he reached Quebec he tried to find gold and diamonds but he failed. He thought he found gold and gems but it was actually quartz crystals.
Da Messina (known as Antonello di Giovanni di Antonio or Antonello degli Antoni) was a famous European (namely Italian) painter during the Renaissance. He was born in approximately 1430 in Messina, Sicily. However, historians are not sure about what Da Messina did during his childhood and young adult years. Da Messina might have introduced oil painting and Flemish artistic techniques into (approximately) fifteenth-century Venetian art.
Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452. He was the illegitimate son of Ser Piero da Vinci, and a local woman, Caterin. There isn’t much on Leonardo's childhood except his father made him the apprentice of Andrea del Verrocchio (1435–1488), the leading artist of Florence at the time. Verrocchio took great lengths in honing quality of execution in expressing the vitality of the human figure. These elements were important for Leonardo's artistic style.
