To take another term often used to describe a home run, but this more often used to describe those home runs that maybe going over the fence but the announcer isn’t too sure if it will. This is where the possible inductees on my “ballot” that are on the fringe landed. For years questions have raged on why Mike Piazza isn’t in the Hall of Fame yet, and some even sunk low enough to think it was sabotage. I think Mike just had a cloud over his career due to his cohorts that has been lifted after years of coming so close to making into the Hall of Fame.
