Even the Very Hairs on Your Head Are Numbered
Having the gift of free agency allows us to make choices in our lives, and causes us to live with the consequences of our decisions whether good or bad. Heavenly Father has given us this ability to choose for ourselves, but He is not absent from our lives. Heavenly Father is intimately involved in our lives and knows what is best for us.
One of the finest examples of this is in Matthew 10:29-31; "Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows." Christ taught that Heavenly Father has taken the time to count each one of the hairs on our head. Nevertheless, many people concern themselves with the color of their hair, or how much has fallen out. God focuses in on each strand and pays close attention to detail.

Even the falling of a sparrow requires His attention. Furthermore, Jesus taught that if Heavenly Father is intimately involved in the falling of one sparrow, how much more is He involved in our everyday lives. Be not afraid, for our Father in Heaven is watching over us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Hence, His love for every person is real, God cares about even the most infinitesimal details of our lives. There may be days of great sorrow, trials, or great loneliness, remember this scripture passage. He has set aside time to count each hair on your head, and merely demonstrating your great worth to
Therefore faith is so important to him that it feels like breathing and living to him.
In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus is presented as the “Christ, the Messiah” (Mk 1:1 NAB). These are the first words of Mark. However, what does this mean? Through the Gospel, Mark wants to answer this question with several facts. The Gospel is divided in two main sections: first, chapter 1 to 8 shows the human part of Jesus and performing several miracles.
An example of this is when Cole had been attacked by the Spirit Bear and the baby birds died. He wondered why and how this could happen. God does many things that we don’t understand. What we do understand, is that God does everything for a reason. Everything that happens to you is part of God’s big plan for you.
We can worry about school, our jobs, our friends or even trivial things like, which girl is Ben going to choose on “The Bachelor.” To me it often seems like we never worry about our relationship with God. We are so busy living life that we sort of forget to slow down and remember the person who gave us life in the first
For example, King David was noted as saying that “your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. (Psalm 139:16, English Standard Version). Additionally, in 2 Kings, we discover Hezekiah weeping over the pronouncement made by God’s prophet concerning his imminent death. Despite this reality, in His mercy, God added fifteen more years to the king’s life (2 Kings 20:6). This story and others demonstrates that God is in control of our existence here in this life (John 11:43-44; Hebrews
This is very noticeable in the comparison Landes makes between Jonah chapters 1 and 2 and chapters 3 and 4. The sailors and Ninevites who are pagan and do not have much knowledge of God cry out to Him and He hears and answers their prayers. This reveals to me God’s overwhelming love and compassion for mankind. Regardless of who we are, whether we are believers or not, when we call upon the name of the Lord, and the key here is in sincerity, God will hear and answer the prayer. Yet again, we see God’s grace revealed to those who ideally do not deserve
Destiny over Free will Free will is a term unheard of nowhere days because of how much the media portrays that we have to do what other people say such as politicians. Some people are destined to think that everything we say and do has already been written out in a script somewhere in heaven and that God already knows what we are going to do before we even do it. People do not possess free will but are governed by fate because in Dante's Inferno the people who were brought down to hell were brought down because they were destined to go down the wrong path and that's why they are in hell and there are special places for people whose fate was a little too heinous and they were forced to go in the middle of heaven and hell and sometimes other people are also destined to lead us to our fate such as Virgil in Dante's inferno. People do not possess free will but are governed by fate because we think we have a choice to change our decisions but what if
If God does not punish us immediately, we must not assume he doesn’t care. God knows every wrong we commit and we will have to answer for all we have done. No one can fully comprehend God and all that he has done and there is always more questions than answers. Although, God’s methods and means are beyond our comprehension. He governs the universe and our lives in perfect wisdom, justice and love.
When we stand before the Lord, I believe we will be shocked to realize that the most significant things are the smallest things—things so small we have forgotten all about them: “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick
Imagine the government forcing you to visit your parents, just because of a law, even if you don’t want to visit your parents or elderly. Filial piety laws, like this, actually exist in 32 states across the US,and other countries such as China. Filial piety is showing respect to your parents or elderly in ways that include visiting them, inviting them to your house, and emailing or messaging them every day. Elderly parents have recently complained that their kids are neglecting them and don’t care about them. A 73-year-old parent sued her daughter and her stepson of self-neglect in China.
This means going through life when faced with decisions, He does interfere or enforce a predisposed plan upon an individual. Reasoning for this stems from personal everyday actions. Upon waking up, there are many decisions that can be made, all of which can slightly alter the future, yet its feels as though there is no divine power at work when making one of these decisions. Individuals go through mental monologues to come to a decision based on the facts and opportunities presented with them. Saint Augustine claims the very same thing in Book V of the text when he says, “that God knows all things before they happen; yet, we act by choice in all those things where we feel and know that we cannot act otherwise than willingly.”
The question of if humans have free will or if our whole life is predestined by God is a question all humans have been asking forever. At some level, Christians know that God is in control of the future and he has a plan for every person, but it also seems like we have the ability to make our own choices. The bible has many passages that talk about free will and predestination that can help us try and make sense of the balance between humans' free will and God's predestination. Paul's writing on this topic in Ephesians 1 is one of the most looked at passages when talking about predestination. In this passage, Paul states that God "chose us in him before the foundation of the world" and that "he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus
Fatherless. Growing up as an African-American female, I have come to certain realizations that have made me more cautious of the people I chose to associate myself with on a day-to-day basis based on ignorance that society distributes for others’ use. For example, society portrays the black cultural without a father raised in a single-mother household in a low-income environment. By providing this image to the world, it allows them to interpret that image in any way they chose. In my case, my father was in my life for a short period of time which proved that stereotype right.
You are confusing the definitions of apologists and scholars. The apologists only goal is to defend his opinion. Not to pass on knowledge that I believe is an evangelist 's job. No, you are confusing a term with its application; a Christian apologist is first and foremost an evangelist.
