Hiking Persuasive Speech
It is spring break and you decide to go to the Poconos for a week with your friends. You guys decide to go on a small hiking trip through the wilderness. Mesmerized by a deer eating near a river, you decide to take a quick picture. However, your oblivious friends decide to keep on hiking, utterly forgetting about your presence. Now you're lost in the midst of an uncharted 70,000 acre wilderness in the Poconos. Spring break is looking fantastic.
You begin to panic. What do you do? Your best chance would be to stay in the location you are currently at and survive until help arrives. I will teach everyone in this room how to survive in the wilderness for a couple of days. This simple, and short lesson will teach you how to start a fire, find food, and moreover familiarize yourself with the nature around you. One of the very first things

This phenomenon will cause the timber to smoke, and ultimately fire up. Placing rocks around the timber will maintain the fire from spreading. As the fire increases, make sure to feed it with more wood to prevent it from going out.
There are many other techniques to start a fire for example using a bow drill. The bow drill is a slightly more advanced technology compared to a wooden stick broken off a tree. It consists of convoluted parts like a spindle, bow, and fire board. Even though this form of technology could start a fire faster, it requires a decent amount of time to assemble it.
With a camp fire setup, it is time to find some source of food. Of course in the wilderness you will not be able to open your refrigerator door and pull out a 12 ounce steak. Do not become distressed and concerned. Nature will provide you with a plethora of plants and insects to sustain your hunger and keep you functioning.
