Throughout the Town of Ramapo, every village and unincorporated area has a community center or gathering place, a place where residents can gather for mutual interests, all except Hillcrest. Via this communication, we are asking for your support to secure a community center. The Moleston Fire district recently completed building a new firehouse to replace the old one at 300 North Main Street, in Hillcrest. The old firehouse is now up for sale. Brief conversations with Moleston leaders have made it clear that they must sell the firehouse to reduce the Bond for the cost of the new firehouse. They are receiving and are entertaining offers. The residents of Hillcrest have no means to purchase this firehouse. Why is this facility needed? Our seniors

In 1982, she started a restaurant called the Fire Barn Pizza in Batavia, IL. True to its name, the restaurant comprised a fire department theme. The building was a family-friendly destination, consisting of a real fire truck, and a complete arcade.
The Cocoanut Grove Fire stands as a significant historical fire event that took place on November 28, 1942, in Boston, Massachusetts. The fire occurred in the Cocoanut Grove nightclub, which was constructed with a combination of wooden and metal truss systems. This paper will provide a summary of the conditions surrounding the fire and how the metal truss system contributed to the devastating loss of property and loss of life. The organization will continue to assist clients in applying for down payment assistance and grants for home repairs through the Micro Market Recovery Program. In addition to its’ current programs, the organization will purchase and rehab single family homes in the targeted area of West Pullman. The objective of the program is to strengthen the existing housing stock within West Pullman target area, and provide low to moderate income individuals homeownership. The target area is in a strong neighborhood to invest in. While West Pullman has had challenges with issues of crime, safety, and employment, there have been significant investments in the community over the last decade, which include: Marshfield Plaza development, Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Recreation and Community Center, Exelon Urban Solar Power
We need firefighters just as much as we need the military to protect our country. They also need money to maintain their apparatus. The main way fire companies get their money is through donations and fundraisers. They often put a lot of work into it and they don't get much money out of it. Because of this I propose that we make a tax.

“The mission behind the Resident Officer Program of Elgin (ROPE) is the belief that by working and living in a distressed neighborhood, the department will provide police service and be the stimulus that empowers the residents to problem solve, improve their quality of life, and independently take ownership of the neighborhood.”(2017). Elgin still has the ROPE program and ROPE officers. The officer next door program is still used as way to purchase a home. According to Dempsey and Forst, this program is meant to get officers to live in a low income housing area, in order have help that part of the community. (p.379) On top of that there were offers to other respective people to move into the neighborhood to help with that area.
Mr. Frank Catapano the current owner of 23 Falcone Circle gave an overview of why he was requesting relief from 12’ primary building setback from the WCD. The current lot is an approved building lot. The current location of the house is very similar to the location that was depicted in the Subdivision application several years ago. When reviewing the project with the Building Inspector it was brought to Mr. Catapano’s attention about the 12’ primary building setback from the WCD. Mr. Catapano submitted an application to the Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA) and they recommended that he meet with Commission to discuss the request to encroach into the 12ft setback.
The Seton Hall University fire took place in January of the year 2000. Sadly, three students were killed and dozens were injured due to a fire that had started in the common room area. At first details about the cause of the fire were a little confusing, there were many reports that said smoking was the cause and a few that had stated that some drunk students had set the fire as a prank and the fire spread more rapidly than they had anticipated as a result of the carpeting containing synthetic fibers that had acted almost like an accelerant due to its makeup (Boland Hall Fire). This was such an unfortunate happening, what started as a seemingly harmless prank turned into an extremely dangerous situation that none would soon forget. The Cocoanut Grove fire is considered to be one of the worst fires in history. The Cocoanut Grove nightclub opened in Boston, Massachusetts in 1927 as a speak-easy bar (An illegal bar during the time of prohibition). The Grove as what the locals called it was a very busy club and had something for everyone. It had a large dining area with a dance floor and if guests were lucky enough they got to see special appearances of the rich and famous.

The Triangle Shirtwaist Fire The Triangle Factory fire happened on March 25, 1911. It was a horrible disaster that killed 146 people and there were 500 workers working there on that day. Chief Croker who was the Fire Chief that reported to the Triangle factory fire. Chief Croker reported back to the factory the next day after the fire.
The Golden Fire Department is a part of my life and I am proud team member of this organization. As the rest of members of this organization I want to make it successful among other City departments and community. I feel needed by being involved in supporting Captain Tom Young in his daily life needs and acomplishing goals with the Golden Fire Department, also, assisting other fire department’s bureaus in administrative responsibilities or by giving to them media support.
Introduction A fire broke out in a suburban chemical storage facility where it leads to a catastrophic incident in Coode Island. The incident happened on August 21, 1991 little after 2 pm, when an explosion happened on Coode Island facility. A chemical storage tank that was holding around 600,000 liters of a hazardous chemical called acrylonitrile caught on fire and exploded with sufficient force. The fire that was burning had extreme toxic smoke that went into the air and traveled over the western suburbs and the city and as far as Frankston.
