Greeks has a significant influence on the Western Art nowadays, especially the great study human body sculptures. In fact, Greeks borrowed many ideas from Egypt and Mesopotamia which help them develop distinct artistic and architectural identity, and made many phenomenon art pieces and architecture. Therefore, people found some similarity in art pieces and sculpture. For instance, let compare two phenomenon sculptures from ancient Egyptian and Greek. The first sculpture is Portrait statue of Mentuemhet from Karnak Egypt (26th Dynasty, ca 660-650 BCE). Second sculpture is Kroisos from Anavysos, Greece (530 BCE).

This sculpture is made in Rome, and belonged to the Roman Empire movement. The Garland Sarcophagus is not typical work, due to inhumation burials being an uncommon Roman practice during the second century A.D., until around the second and third centuries. The style of this art piece is classical Greek art, the Romans were influenced by Greek culture and literature, such as mythology.
The Yellow and Yangzi river valley people of China during Shang times were prosperous civilizations in their time. In addition, so were the Egyptians and Nubians on the Nile River. Both groups of peoples had their own traditions and ways of living, based on environment and where they migrated from. While these civilizations are quite different, they have more in common than some would realize. While they differ in religious views and political organization, the Chinese and Egyptians have similar agricultural practices and writing systems.
Each sculpture shows the creativty between the two artist. The sculptures tells a story as well paints a picture. They both depicts the thrower about to release his discus. An example would be the Two Lotuses, from the Bharhut Stupa which was also made in the 1st century B.C. It was similarly carved with a type of sandstone and tells a story, and both sculptures show a similar technique in creating relief and adding detail. The Two Lotuses, from the Bharhut Stupa chronicle the major life events of the Buddha and deities found around the area.
Artifacts that have been found are often embellished with human-headed birds, griffins and sphinxes. These objects were fashioned with influences from the East but are thought to have been locally produced by artisans who used a Near Eastern-style influenced by the Assyrian reign
After the collapse of Mycenaean civilization, art became largely non figural for several countries. In the 9th century BCE, the oldest surviving style of Greek art developed, known as the Geometric style because of the predominance of linear designs. During this time, Greeks would focus on creating pottery with various geometric patterns and linear designs. A noticeable feature on the Kore is the rectangular pattern on the dress which reflects this traditional technique and conveys the Egyptian influence on Greek Art.

There are three main periods of the Greek sculpture: Archaic, Classical and Hellenistic. The Archaic period was the earliest period in Greek Sculpture which started around 600-480 BCE. Greek Art and Architecture is the creation of Greece from 1100 BC to the 1st century BC. As time went on, styles evolved and the art and architecture improved, and this defined each time period. Geometric and Orientalizing Periods Pottery is one of the most important pieces of art in the earliest of Ancient Greek history. At first, bands of meanders and other angular geometric ornaments were painted onto pottery, but then shortly after in about 750 BC, animals and humans were introduced to the era. Later on in the 7th century BC, styles of painting changed and the geometric designs were replaced by rounded, realistic forms of motifs.
