Although Germany managed to eventually reach its previous levels of production and such, some things were not successful. Small and big businesses, farmers, and unskilled workers all benefited in some ways. The Nazis aimed to reduce unemployment and to make Germany economically self-sufficient. Two new plans were set in place to help Germany improve and regain its previous economic level. The New Plan, by Dr. Hjalmar Schacht, and the Four-Year Plan by Hermann Goering. However, a few problems hindered Germany's economic growth, such as insufficient funds to pay for many imports and lack of certain essential raw materials.

However, in return, the government ordered specific terms that had to be followed.
Big businesses benefited from the Nazi control because the value of German industry rose.
Unskilled workers were forced to do jobs that were difficult because if they didn’t do them they would receive nothing from the government. Many did these horrible jobs to survive and feed their families.
The government did many things to improve the life of workers such as setting up organizations such as the “Beauty of Labour” campaign, which persuaded employers to improve working conditions and the “Strength through Joy” organization which introduced activities for workers to enjoy.
Big businesses benefited the most as their income rose by more than 100%, followed by farmers with an increase in income by 40% and finally industrial workers whose income increased by about 25%.
Under the Nazis, government debt rose to a high of 40 billion Reichmarks by 1939, with government income lower than government spending. According to Document 2 “In the period following the end of World War 1, Germany experianced a disastrous perioid of inflation. The German governemnts method of financing the war by borrowing heavily and printing large quantities of unbacked currency began th inflationary spiral. This lead to political violence.” The german economy was in ruins at the time, one us dollar was equivilant to 4,200,000,000,000 German marks at one point. This helped Hitler Rise to power because the people felt that their economy was very very weak because of the government, and they wanted a new upgraded government.
Germany has been struggling a lot after WWI. Adolf Hitler and his Nazi party started blaming and
The unemployment rate in Germany also caused people to look for jobs, and when Hitler began to offer them with building military supplies illegally, they accepted. This decreased the unemployment rate, but later caused World War
[Doc 1]. This responsibility forced Germany into massive debt, as they had to pay large sums of money while their economy was still in ruins from the war. This plight initially led to the weakened economy described
One of the main factors was hyperinflation. This is when prices increase while value of money decrease. According to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, hyperinflation caused a depression, which undermined, “the stability of the German economy.” Jobs were hard to find and didn’t pay enough even when you had one. This caused the people of Germany to be in desperate need of help from anyone who could offer it.
Germany felt this was humiliating and unjust, and many believed their country had been unfairly punished. In the 1930s, Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party rose to power in Germany, promising to restore the country's greatness and overturn
Its industrial level retrogressed back to the end of last century and its national power gradually decreased. The crisis not only stimulated national class contradictions, but also the ambition for monopoly capitalist class to expand. Hitler held the proposition that Germany must find a way out of the predated land and production space and it won the advocacy and support of the monopoly capitalist class. However, to realize its evil scheme requested financial insurance. Faced with the deteriorating condition, Germany took it for granted that Jews were where they should reach their hands to.
In the decade prior to World War One, Germany experienced massive growth in both their population and their economy which created needs outside of Germany's immediate capacity. They met the demand by increasing their imports substantially; from 1899-1913, Germany nearly doubled its imports. Trade is a prominent element in every political situation that impacts the outcome significantly. Trade governs our resources and therefore, our quality of life and style of living. The Allies employed a blockade that sought to restrict the resources of the Germany and Austria-Hungary, starving them into submission and depriving them of necessary resources.
The average German worker had supported Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party because both Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party had appealed to what the average German workers had wanted. After World War I, Germany had experienced a hyperinflation as a result of all the war reparations. The entire German population had become crazed as they were trying to make money in order to purchase food and other basic necessities.
After Germany signed the Treaty of Versailles nations of Germany had live miserable lives, because high inflation happened in Germany. Germany made a wrong decision when they had to pay money. Instead of taxing people to give money for the damage to Allies, Germany borrowed a lot of money from other countries. As a result they had to pay more money with a huge debt.
This explains that Hitler was able to improve economic conditions by taking control of other areas and abusing them by using their abundant resources. Everyone in Germany was excited that they finally had a ruler that could lead them to success. Germany was gaining more power and

By Hindenburg and Von Papen giving Hitler the role of Chancellor – thinking that Hitler can be easily manipulate. Furthermore, without the Great Depression and its world-wide economic crisis, the Nazi party would have remained a small political group without much of a say in the government like it had been from 1924 – 1928. During this period, Germany was slowly but surely recovering from the hyperinflation period. The Nazi fed off this Depression a gain a foothold in the
Prior to the election of the Nazi party, in 1933, 6 million German civilians were unemployed and Hitler while being elected had promised to provide the people with ‘Bread and Jobs’. And fortunately, for Germany, the Nazis parties hard work paid off and in 1939 the number of unemployed decreased to only 302,000. This was primarily because of the strategic mind of Hitler, who encouraged the restoration of an autarky as well as created a self sufficient nation, which stated that Germany wouldn’t take aiding from any other country for its economic re-building. Moreover, Hitlers administration of the National Labor service gave men raging from ages 18 to 25 jobs to attend to public work in fields such as constructing buildings, which were hospitals and schools as well as repairing and building houses, roads and railways. This initiation immediately created many job opportunities and also improved rearmament on a large scale.
The ultimate goal of the Nazi State in regards to the economy was to achieve autarky. According to Hitler, the German nation must be able to sustain itself, as well as be able to defend itself. These two principles, autarky and rearmament, rely on each other and are thus inseparable. To reach autarky, the economy would have to be turned into a war economy in the short-term, and lebensraum would be required in the long-term. The process by which autarky was pursued defined the economic policies of the NSDAP.
