Susan B. Anthony was a heroine and the public face of the women’s suffrage movement. Susan was important because she gave a voice to the women who were afraid to speak out. She accomplished many things throughout her life that supported a greater good. Susan B. Anthony fought for the rights of women and people. Susan had many contributions during her lifetime. She originally grabbed the public’s attention when she voted illegally in Rochester, NY in November 1872. She was arrested and later fined. Anthony, however, refused to pay the fine.
