Human Nature How are humans guided in the choices we make? How do these choices depict human nature as a whole? Many people would say the choices they make depict it as pure and good. However, there are other cases of people whose actions gave human nature the image of evil and impurity. In the novel “Lord of The Flies”, Golding depicts human nature as evil, which is an unerring representation of how human nature naturally is when stripped down to its roots.
In Goldings novel “Lord of The Flies” he uses a group of young boys that were stranded on an island to depict human nature. The boys were involved in a plane crash and were stranded on the island alone without any adults. Things on the …show more content…

He writes about a story involving a man and his wife who are, “responsible for the deaths of three teenaged girls, two of whom…..were kidnapped, raped and tortured.”(Livesey) These two people fell into the completely corrupted side of human nature and went as far as to kill innocent teenage girls. Along with that they decided to abuse and force illegal and awful actions upon them. These actions were also recorded in what the author said was a “home video” style of videography. These two not only murdered and raped the girls, they recorded the horrible ungodly actions and put them on videos to watch back like a family home video. The twisted wickedness of this story is enough to make a person’s skin crawl, and to make them question how terrible human nature is. The author provides other examples in the article such as, “drive-by shootings…and emergence of violent neo-Nazi hate groups”(Livesey) These examples add to the absolute corruption of human nature and how violent and awful it is. The examples given by the other authors represent different parts of how evil human nature can be but all of the examples are tied together to show the pure
