'' Suddenly it was deathly quiet .we had all frozen nobody in my family had ever hit m . nobody '' This is the most vital part of the novel . In the above passage pony boy is mentioning the Darry's violence towards him .this violence push him to go out into the night and is what makes him decide to go to the park at two in the morning . so this is the violence is mention or highlighted in book . another theme which i want to elaborate is isolation a word used for separating from the friends or from family . isolation leads to anxiety in children .isolation word here is used for pony boy . In the beginning of the chapter pony boy feel isolated by members of the gang , His elder brother , and the society . His passion for reading books , watching movie aren't appreciated by the members of the gang. ''If you can picture a little dark puppy which had been kicked too many times and is lost in a crowd of stranger , you''ll have johnny. .... ! here pony boy compare a situation of johnny with lost puppy . Johnny is surrounded by the group of people still he is feeling isolated or in other words feeling alone
Johnny is a character most readers love. He is sweet and shy, quiet and weak. Nothing gold can stay, like this poem Johnny doesn’t stay with us long. While most of us love Johnny, he ends up dying after having a burning cross fall on him while trying to save children in a burning church. While he is laying in the hospital bed he said “Stay golden Ponyboy,” these were his final words spoken before he collapsed on the bed and dies.
When pony starts to pick up one of the the kids they bit him. One last similarity is that the greasers and soc’s still have a rumble, and after the rumble Ponyboy is badly hurt. So Dally takes him to the hospital to get him treated, and so they can see Johnny before he dies. While on their way the get stopped by a policeman because they were speeding. Dally makes something up and tells the policeman that he saw Pony fall off his motorcycle and is taking him to the hospital.

In her novel ‘The Outsiders’ S.E Hinton paints a story about loyalty, acceptance, belonging, friendship, the consequences of actions, and the senselessness of violence. The characters in The Outsiders demonstrate how they accept everything and belong in a variety of ways.
Even Sodapop sacrifices his future for his Pony- he becomes “a dropout so he [can] get a job and keep [Ponyboy] in school” (38). It is important to Darry and Sodapop that Ponyboy receives a good education, unlike the ones that they gave up to take care of the family. They also want Ponyboy to live an ordinary life without having to carry the burden of his brothers’ responsibilities. Darry and Sodapop are willing to do anything to give Ponyboy the possibilities of a future that they never
Many think Pony boy has a rough life. He even has his brothers with him at tough times. Just like the rumble how two bit 's, Darry and Pony boy fought the Socs. Then, the greasers win the rumble against the Socs. Therefore, Pony boy will be better with his brothers than foster care.
The Outsiders: Compare and Contrast In the novel “The Outsiders,” by S.E Hinton and the movie by Francis Ford Coppola have numerous similarities and differences. Our thoughts on these particular aspects are very diverse as the universe is. Many things have been either left out or diminished from the movie, which makes it less interesting as the suspense lessens as you have finished reading the book. Although this might be the case, there were also many similarities between the two sources.
This novel by S.E Hinton, The Outsiders shows a crucial point that everybody is special in some way and should be known as who they are individuality not as a group. The Outsiders is a book that describes 2 gangs , the luxurious Socs, and the hoodlum Greasers. While they have conflicts with each other, the protaganist, Ponyboy, finds his identity outside of the gang. The important message of the story is that everyone has a unique personality that are developed by being in a group of people away from home, this identity can shape anyone’s way of life and the path they may take in the future. First of all, Socs and greasers have a trademark that showed who was part of their gang, Socs are know for Mustangs, Madras, and leather jackets;
It is about how a gang of low-income teens, the Greasers, conflicts with another gang of wealthy teens, the Socs. By being loyal to each other, the Greasers have overcome most of the challenges that the Socs have proposed. This is why the major theme of The Outsiders is that loyalty is essential for a group’s survival and well-being. One way that loyalty is demonstrated in the novel is how the characters grouped together to protect one another from physical threats. An example of this is when Ponyboy was mugged and beat up by the Socs at the beginning the book.
Also, most of the characters changed: Two-Bit; Ponyboy became more belligerent; Soda Pop changed for Sandy; Darry’s and Ponyboy’s relationship was mended. The other themes that also work for this particular story is society and class, loyalty, love, violence, appearances, and choices. Many of these themes ran along with the story, and sometimes were demonstrated
