Just steps away from crossing the border, a Syrian woman collapses from exhaustion. Jordanian soldiers help and carry the inambulatory refugee the rest of the way. After coming from a country where the same government supposed to be protecting them is bombing and starving them, this act of kindness renews and strengthens her hope while serving as a reminder that there is still good in the world. The Jordanian soldiers did not commit the act because it was mandatory, but because they saw someone in need of kindness and compassion. Apart from making a difference in that woman’s life it helped the entire group of refugees feel welcome and cared about. These acts of kindness make the world a better place. Small acts of kindness impact others because …show more content…
It is important that people never lose their hope although this can often be difficult. With a world full of negative people, ranging from murderers and rapists to simply unkind and rude people, it becomes difficult to see the good in the world. There are also thousands of tragedies happening daily globally, such as war, hunger, and poverty. The world has also become corrupted by money and even some of the most important and powerful world leaders are controlled by it. We’ve also become less social and open by hiding behind screens, this leads to cyberbullying, lack of communication, and relationships losing some of their meaning. The world is a horrible place when you think of all the atrocious things happening. However, it’s the little things, like finding a quarter on the street or receiving a compliment or getting an encouraging smile when standing in front of a crowd, that can really make someone’s day. We are all capable of making someone smile and we are all capable of serving as a reminder to someone that the world contains love, beauty, compassion, and …show more content…
It helps and inspires strangers by encouraging and reinforcing positivity. It helps communities by making them more hospitable and caring. It brings the world together, builds relationships, and improves communication skills. The spreading of kindness makes people more generous and creates more volunteers, donors, and overall helpful people. This generosity helps charities and can lead to major changes and advancements. The feeling of helping others has proved to be a great cause of happiness, not only for those who give, but the people they help feel a sense of warmth, unity, and most importantly, they feel cared about. Random acts of kindness are not solely based on human interaction either. Recycling and staying green are not only helpful, but kind. It’s kind in the sense that one has to acknowledge that Earth is shared with billions of other people and future generations and one has to realize that humans need to protect this planet from pollution, deforestation, and global warming not just for mankind's own good, but for the good of the rest of humanity and all other living organisms on
This is a great time to be a Jordan shoe fanatic. It seems each new week brings news of a Jordan Retro release. These days all the news appears to be centered around the epic Jordan Retro 14. This shoe will always been remembered as the last shoe Michael Jordan wore as a Chicago Bull. The shoe he wore to win his sixth and final NBA Championship.
I love seeing others at their best. I care for an infinite number of people and often put others before myself. If the cost of someone’s happiness is for me to lose some sleep, stay up late with them, purchase a little surprise, or send them an encouraging note, it is all worth it to me. A time I was kindhearted was when I volunteered my time to help the Oklahoma Democratic Party. At the Carl Albert State Dinner, I served as an usher get a behind the scenes look at what helps the party run.
So constantly being kind and showing those kind emotions can show your character and build a reputation that you can uphold. In his quote, Elie Wiesel stated “Even on the edge of the abyss, it is possible to dream exalted dreams of compassion.” I believe he talked about
As a high school student, I do my best to be friendly to everyone and make a point of smiling and greeting people in the hallway. These little things can go a long way in someone’s life. As a person who has experienced a bad day, I am able to speak on behalf of the positive impact that a wave and a smile can have in a person’s life. Words and actions have a lot of power. Choose them
“If civilization is to survive, it is the morality of altruism that people must learn to reject.” -Ayn Rand. To be compassionate and unselfish seems to be a noble and magnanimous pursuit. Altruism is admired, it is beautiful, and it is praised.
Being kind isn't always a good thing it could ultimately be the bad thing in some cases, The reason I say this is because you might be kind to the wrong person and they will do something bad. For an example being kind to a robber in precautions of not knowing what they will do. In Romeo and Juliet someone being kind caused terrible accidents that had ultimately caused the death of both teens. How just rejecting situations or decisions could have avoided events causing a lots of accidents that could have been handled in an easier manner. A careful analysis will show that misguided kindness led to the deaths of the two young lovers.
Should unknown fallen American soldiers be properly honored? Yes. Should Americans have a symbolic element to remember the unknown fallen soldiers? Yes, and that is why the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was built.
Kindness is one trait every individual desires to be treated with by others. It is , after all, the state of warm welcoming that helps us assimilate in a society. Besides, no one likes the feeling of getting rejected by a particular group based on their different backgrounds, culture, physique and/or experiences. The only way that perhaps heels this rejection ,due to the difference's in an individual, are the acts of when an another individual presents and treats others with their acts of benevolence. This act then also sheds a new light on an other individual's perspective, and gives them the knowledge to assert what they think is right for them to obtain their objectives.
Hope is what humanity runs on and it is what is needed for
Compassion and empathy are very important components to humans, unfortunately, us as human we do not realized that sometimes we don’t show kindness, especially when this needs to be cultivated and nurtured.
In the poem, “What Every Soldier Should Know”, Brian Turner, details the ever-present threat of death in a war zone. This poem expesses not only the terror of the American soldiers, but also exemplifies the emotions that the Middle Eastern soldiers feel towards the American soldiers. The soldiers are experiencing death, chaos, and disorder, but for some of the middle eastern people, they experience that every day. A lot of Middle Eastern people are normal people, defending their home land, their family, and their country.
Everything you do, everything you say has a ripple effect, and you never know how far a little kindness can
The word altruism may come to mind for some. When performing acts of kindness we
I have felt that I have experienced impact of kindness in the Fairview community I live in, by working with the autistic kids in the elementary school. I have not only felt like I have shown kindness to these kids but in return, I have seen these kids show kindness back. I have had an amazing experience these past three years working with the autistic kids in the elementary school. For me showing kindness is putting yourself in someone else 's shoes and putting aside your own selfish desires. Kindness does not have to be giving or doing something for someone else, but kindness can be as “little” as showing interest and investing time in another 's life.
think of a time someone has been kind to you, in a big or a small way: A passerby gave your directions to reach the station or a stranger threw herself in a river to save you from drowning. what effect did it have on you? Probably a beneficial one, because if someone helps us when we need it, we feel relief. And everyone likes to be heard, threatened with warmth and friendliness, understood, and nourished. (Piero Ferrucci) Being kind is a way of life that can bring happiness to others as well as to those who practice it.
