Dear Kappa members of the Class of 2018: Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! This special day will be filled with joy and celebrations with family and friends. This spring, Kappa Kappa Gamma will welcome 5,530 graduates to alumna status. During the time leading up to graduation, you will reflect on the years you have spent on your campus as a collegiate member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. We hope you will remember these years fondly — the bonds of friendships you made, the opportunities for self-growth that defined you as an individual, and the intellectual development you experienced both in and out of the classroom. The Fraternity wants you to remember that this is not the end of your experience as a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, but another
Dear Alpha Beta Chapter of Gamma Phi Delta, Inc., President and Members: Please accept this letter as notice of my resignation from the Alpha Beta Chapter of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Inc. My last day of membership will be October 20, 2015. It has been a pleasure working with you and the members over the years.
Outside of her active participation as a Kappa alumna, Betty was a teacher, served as a church organist, chaired a large antique show, owned a floral design business and led the Washington National Cathedral’s Altar Guild. As a new member of Delta Rho in 1957, Betty and the members of her new member class were always reminded of the lifelong friendships and associations they would make as collegians as well as alumnae. In the years since, Betty has found this to be very true and she is forever grateful for the lasting ideals afforded her because of her Kappa
The annual Phi Alpha Theta (PAT) initiation brunch is one of the most exciting events to take place every year. It took place on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Alta Vista Country Club in Placentia and it was nice to see familiar faces, while meeting the new members of the organization. Guest enjoyed some omelets, prime rib, and pancakes, while Dr. William Haddad gave a powerful talk entitled “An Ode to Secular Tyrants: Reflections on the History of the Modern Middle East.” After the keynote, address came the initiation ceremony that included the traditional reading of the “Six Ages” of History. Thirty-six new members joined the ranks of Phi Alpha Theta and became apart of something much bigger-
As many of you know, I have devoted much of my time and effort into making ASA the best it can be. This sorority has given me some of my best friends, leadership opportunities, life skills, and amazing unforgettable experiences. Now it is time for me to give back to the sorority that has given so much to me. I joined this sorority during my freshman year and knew it was my forever home. I held tightly to my sisters as we were placed on probation.
Can you imagine what your life would be like if you hadn’t decided to join Phi Mu Delta? What life lessons, friendships, and memories would you have missed out on? Many brothers showed their love for the fraternity by sharing all the reasons they cherish their membership. These are the stories that remind us just how important the fraternity is and prove that it’s an experience that lasts long after graduation. Read on for their responses.

As of today, I feel that my most significant contribution to Auburn has been the privilege of serving as the president of Kappa Delta Pi. Kappa Delta Pi is an honor society for education and kinesiology majors. As president, I am able to provide members with resources and guidance in their field of study. Additionally, myself and the other officers encourage members to get involved with volunteer work in the community while striving to be actively involved in volunteer work, as well. Before serving as this years president of Kappa Delta Pi, I served as the communications chair. During my time as communications chair, I learned the importance of giving back to the Auburn community.
Sunday morning after the game, the #1 football player in the country wakes up, puts on his favorite sweatshirt and takes a walk downtown. He is quickly surrounded by his fans and fellow students, all telling him what a great game he had and asking for autographs while yelling his name. All of them are wearing his jersey. The All-American football player doesn’t think much of it, just humbly takes his praise, signs his name a few times, looks at all the jerseys and doesn’t make a dime. The school and sponsorships would make the money off his jerseys, his name, his fame...
Today I am deeply humbled to be recognized as a potential member of the National Honor Society. To me this means I have exemplified everything you look for in a student who goes above and beyond, not just in academics but in athletics, the community and at home as well. I have not taken this selection for granted, as I believe would be a great asset to the National Honor Society. I am hardworking, honest, reliable and quite charismatic too. I hold all the qualities required by the distinguished NHS like leadership, service, character and scholarship.
To the women of the grad chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated: The purpose of this letter is to inform you of my interest in becoming a member of the grad chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated. My desire to inspire young men and women and make a significant impact on their lives is just one of many reasons I aspire to join your great sorority. While growing up at a young age my mom worked out of my sibling lives. I did not have many positive female role models I could look to for guidance in different situations.
Permit me to adopt the protocol that has already been established. It is indeed my honor, and on behalf of the Board of Governors to welcome you to the x graduation ceremony of Sir Arthur Lewis Community College. You have anticipated this day with varying emotions; some of you are excited, some anxious and others simply relieved! Irrespective of the emotions stirred within you, you will all agree that today will evoke a sense of pride, a sense of purpose and accomplishment.
This house inhabits thousands of different personalities and each year, new ones are added. This year marks the 130 year anniversary of success at the University of Nebraska, which means there have been 130 different pledge classes and endless memories. However, Delta Gamma was not an instant success, this house stands here today thanks to George Banta, who was Delta Gamma’s only mail initiate, he was actually a member of Phi Delta Theta, he worked towards making Delta Gamma a true sorority for women, which was unheard of at the time. There were solely only fraternities on campuses around the United
Just, after Christmas James was going to start his 5th grade, he was nervous because he was different for everybody, he moved from Canada to America, he had been to 2 schools in Calgary I’ll tell why did James move from Canada to America where he lived. He went to Bashaw primary school, one day on Halloween night he was dressed as a vampire and he loved Halloween better than Christmas. He walked into the school, everybody was high fiving him, but when arrived at his class his best friend said something about him to the other bullies that bullied him when he came to this school. He said I’m just friends with him because he’s very good at maths and science and I just copy every single time, and from that day he has been upset and moved to America.
“My King, first amongst us as equals, I speak on behalf of the Macedonians when I offer condolences on the tragic passing of Hephaestion. I also wish to speak on behalf of the Macedonians on the matters which distress us.” Craterus, you may speak freely on these matters. What is it you wish to discuss?
I know that you did everything on your side to reduce the cost of school, but I would like you to understand that $ 12k is too much money for the kids coming from the countries of former Yugoslavia. If you take into consideration that the exchange students programs cost around $12K and they can also provide a host family. The kids will be able to provide sufficient documentation to support their need for the financial assistance. If you can bring the cost of school down to $5K I think that will be reasonable, everything beyond that is impossible.
