MLK (or Martin Luther King Jr.) was an african american who wanted the rights for the colored people and his family. Basically it took years of strikes and boycotts and pretty much got what he wanted until his death of an assassin. Today i’ll be talking about MLK Jr’s life story. It all started in Atlanta, Georgia in January 15,1929 where he was born. Now during this time segregation was still in effect and he was raised by Martin Luther King Sr. (Senior) and Alberta Williams King. While in September 11, 1927 Christine King Farris was born. July 30, 1930 Alfred Daniel Williams King (or A.D. King) was born (so basically MLK Jr. was the middle child). During his childhood he went to school where it was filled with african students and few white child however, he lost them due to his skin. When his grandfather died while he was an adolescent he jumped off a two story building and managed to survive. He went to Booker T. Washington High School and skipped 9th and 12th grade.during his Junior year Morehouse college accepts any Junior students to accepted into Morehouse if they pass the entrance exam (Morehouse was a respected african college) …show more content…
