You may or may not know who Meriwether Lewis is, but he has had a very important role in history, especially that of Louisiana, and the cause of death has been argued upon for years. He was a member of the state militia, he helped quell the Whiskey rebellion, a Pennsylvania uprising that was led against taxes, and he was a friend of Jefferson’s. In one of the stories she said that after two shots were fired he said to “fetch him some water” and that the “deed was done”, and as I have concluded from the autopsy reports it is impossible that he would have been even been alive after just one of those shots, let alone talked, which proves that she really didn’t even know what happened. In another one of her retellings of the night Lewis died she claimed that after the shots were fired he crawled across the pavement, which as I said before is impossible because either shot would have killed him instantly. So obviously she can’t be a reliable in knowing if it was a murder or suicide considering she couldn’t even keep the story straight herself. There was also the matter of James Wilkinson,
