Why don’t middle schoolers have a “recess” or free period? Honestly I don’t know. But in my opinion, all grades should have some type of free period like recess. This could help make friends, let the teachers have a break, and give us extra time for missing work or homework. All in all, it is a good thing for us, and even high school.
The first reason is that we could make friends so we are not lonely and NEVER have friends. We could just have tables and benches so that we could hang out with them and not just sit on the ground and be awkward. We could also plant some trees, and when they grow we could climb in them. All in all, this is a good thing.
The second reason is that it could be a time to work on homework or missing work. As you
Persavsive Paragragh I think Grandview R2 Middle School should have recess. Recess would provide more phyisical activities and exersize for kids, also i think recess provides free time for kids to get away from work for a little bit. The normal time to have recess would be after lunch to let energy befor comming back to class. Also i think recess is a time for kids to let out stress from work that has been put on them. Recess help kids stay active and healthy also it would help kids not sleep in class while doing his or her work.
Should middle school students have recess? Middle school students should not have recess at all. This is because they need to grow and mature, they could get distracted from their missing work, and there is more of a chance to get hurt. You may think differently, but there is no denying the facts that prove my opinion. Middle school is a time in a kids life where they have more responsibilities, yet still are allowed to be a child.
The ideal model of schooling for young adolescents is the middle school model. The middle school model allows for a smooth transition from elementary school to middle school. The model also takes into consideration the developmental needs of adolescents. The middle school model best fits the uniqueness of the young middle school learner.
Students that are in school during the summer find it harder to concentrate on the work that they are doing in school because they are waiting to get out of school into the nice weather. Year round schools make it difficult to learn with many breaks that they are given which can affect them negatively in and out of school. Year round schools should give long breaks instead of many little breaks because it is shown that there is no difference in learning between year round schools and traditional schools. During 2011-2012 about 3,700 schools were all year round schools and these schools didn’t benefit students and teachers in all good ways.
Everyday, kids around the world get to run outside and play, but middle schoolers don’t get to. They have to sit inside and work really hard. Middle schoolers need recess. They need recess because it helps them concentrate during class, it helps stop childhood obesity, and it helps them feel accepted.
School days are long and most of the time middle schoolers can 't wait to the end of school. That 's why recess should be there, it allows to enjoy sun or enjoy snow or whatever season. It also allows the kid to have su which is healthy for you also it gives you fresh air. Because otherwise a teenager could make a problem from having the lack of movement. One example is middle schooler boy who caused a disturbance got treated badly because sometimes he caused a disturbance and that hurt his self esteem.
Like lunchtime that which could be enough time for anyone to have some time to relax and socialize with their friends at school. At any time in which a student can get board and in any given idea of getting outside of school is fun. In any fact that it might not be a good idea, and that spending their free time chilling in school with their comrades. In any fact that their are some students are behind in their classes and have nothing but pure F or D in their grades. In any case of social media and entertainment could also be a good choice for students to have fun time in their school.
We would like to have a break, and not sit in our desks/ tables for 90 minutes each period, and our backs start to hurt and we get sleepy/ tired. I also think that it would be a fun thing to do, and it would help wake us up so that we’re not falling asleep in class. Reasons why we should get recess. It will wake us up so that we’re not falling
These are all extremely important developmental building blocks that help them to grow into future members of society. According to the American Association for the Child's Right to Play, many school systems have dropped recess since 1989. “Personal conversations with principals and teachers suggest that they feel pressured to pack more instruction into the school day because of new calls for accountability” (Jarett Olga). Some of the main
Have you ever felt like there is a cause for recess but you never thought about it? Well, in this essay I will write about the good causes of recess and why students in higher grades like middle and high school should have it good causes of recess are that you get a lot of sunlight and a good amount of physical activity as well as how it keeps you focused during the day so you don’t just wander off and start talking because you want a break. Recess also gives the students a chance to communicate with their peers. Besides lunch recess is one of the only times you could actually talk to some about things, like it said here”Recess may be the only time during the day when children have an opportunity to experience socialization and real communication.”(www.pathwaystofamilywellness.org
As students grow they have less and less free time to the point that recess is taken out of the equation, but is this the best thing to do? “Is recess necessary in school,” a question that many individuals ask themselves when it comes to recess. Some believe that recess should be completely removed from school, while others believe that recess should be part of school. Bullying can thrive in recess, but recess is necessary as students can gain an improved memory, attention, and concentration all while behaving better in class. Recess has many wonderful benefits for students and teachers alike.
An average student would spend hours on schoolwork a day, which can be very stressful. A high school student will use half of their day around school relation. Almost all elementary to high school students will likely to agree that homework should not be assigned. The majority of students complain about homework yet teachers don’t usually understand why. While homework gives benefits to students, unnecessary homework should not be assigned due to the fact that there are enough school hours, it consumes time, and the development of poor health is encouraged.
In class today, two groups spoke concerning the topic of Recess in elementary schools. The first group was the News group and we interviewed 30 individuals to understand different viewpoints and aspects of each individual as to what they felt was beneficial to childhood recess and activity. Every person that was interviewed had recess or a form of organized play during the school day which is a clear sign that activity is regularly seen throughout the community and back in the early 2000’s. One question was asked to our group that was about the stationary bicycles or effective activity chairs during class. This seemed to be an interesting topic for many people because constant or regular activity throughout the day seemed to grab the attention and curiosity of
There is a problem with how we are treating recess in our school systems. In today’s society teachers are trying to put as much information as possible into children’s brains, and not letting them learn in the way that they should, through play. Schools are putting too much of a focus on learning and not enough on the playground outside. Recess should be seen as a gateway for students to get out the energy they have, to focus in the classroom. Not only does recess help better attention in the classroom, there are also a lot of skills that cannot be taught in a classroom, but can be learned on a playground.
