The Jabber Jays were created by the Capitol for military spying on enemies. They possess the ability to memorize and repeat entire human conversations. But their purpose backfired as the enemies fed the birds lies, so the operation was abandoned and the birds were left to die in the wild. In spite of this, the exclusively male Jabber Jays mated with the local Mocking Birds to create their own distinct species, Mocking Jays. This species lost the ability to reiterate human conservations; instead it could retell complex melodies. Even though the Capitol released them into the wild, accurate estimates of population size and density can be extremely valuable. Whether it is used to increase, stabilize, or decrease the population or for human benefit. …show more content…
Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark have a mutualism symbolic relationship during the Hunger Games. Their association was the key cause of both their survival in the Games. Katniss pretends that she is in love with Peeta in order to please the sponsors to get gifts for both of them. At the end, this relationship results in their victory of the Hunger Games. Their interaction increases their chances of survival because it causes viewers to sympathize them as they are perceived to be“star-crossed lovers from District Twelve” (Collins 135). More interest and attention, means more sponsors. During the games, every time Katniss and Peeta share a romantic moment they are rewarded by much needed life-saving gifts from their sponsors. For example, as Katniss and Peeta share their first kiss, they receive the gift of hot broth. Katniss realizes that Haymitch, the District 12 tribute mentor, wants her to play up the romance. As Katniss obeys, they receive more gifts that assist in their survival. Their relationship allowed there to be two winners than just one that was permitted. They threatened to commit suicide when the Game makers forced them to kill each other, using their planted love to their advantage ther was no winner. The Games end with both of them …show more content…
An example of commensalism symbiosis is the relationship between Katniss and the Mocking Jays. Mocking Jays possess the ability to repeat complex melodies. This relationship allowed Katniss to communicate and regroup with her allies Rue, a District 11 tribute, and Peeta when they were separated without alerting their opponents. They did this by whistling a melody. The Mocking Jays do not benefit nor are they harmed by this relationship, they are
After both Katniss and Peeta win the Hunger Games, they return home and create a rebel party against the Capitol. Katniss and Peeta are drafted again into the 75th Hunger Games, and Katniss destroys the Hunger Games. In doing this, Peeta is captured by the Capitol and kept as a prisoner of war. In order to save Peeta and the Districts, Katniss unites the people against the Capitol. They form an army that passes through the security of the Capitol and saved Peeta.
Now in this story it is not the fancy wigs or the sparkles of the Capital that make it that way. It is the Hunger Games. Once a year all twelve districts of Panem have a reaping, where one boy and one girl from each district are chosen (or forced) to play in the hunger games. This year Katniss and Peeta from district 12 were chosen along with many others. During the games the Tributes fight to the death and there can only be one survivor, but while Peeta and Katniss establish a love connection in the arena they refuse to kill each other and are about to swallow some poisonous berries and end it together when the game makers intervene to keep the people in the district's happy and let them both live.
Katniss is a hunter and Peeta worked in a bakery. They both knew that survival was not only important for themselves, but also their families, they had no time to be normal
Peeta is there for Katniss as they both experience the truth about how their society and why in fact they fight in these separate districts that are designed to hold different personalities of certain people. This is another example of how society tries to control people in these dystopian novels. However, this specific relationship is similar to that of Montag and Clarisse because Peeta had such an influence on Katniss and how she made the decisions she did throughout the book series. Katniss once thought about Peeta during the series and realized, "only one person will be damaged beyond repair if
Has many Dystopian chartists for example they are told what to wear and how wear it. The connection Katniss and her sister have is extrandairy. Katniss volunteering for a death sentence, showing that she cares more about her little sister’s life than her own. Katniss breaks the rules by uniting forces with roe. Katniss has extraordinary care for peeta, she would rather kill herself then kill petea, they were going to eat poisonous berries.
Throughout the book they start to become friends and realize many things they didn’t really know they would learn. In the beginning of the book Peeta tried to help Katniss in many ways. He told people that he was in love with her to help her get sponsors. Also, at the beginning of the games Peeta shook his head to Katniss telling her not to go the the supply area to try to save her from the blood bath.
There are several themes in the book, each one has a significant meaning to the storyline. The first symbol that describes the theme of abuse of power is government control. The reason that they hold the Hunger Games is because it is a dystopian society and most of the districts are poor and the capitol likes it because it keeps them entertained just because they believe that they are superior to everyone else who lives outside the capitol. To explain this more into detail, the government controls all the districts and all the districts have to follow the rules or else there is a serious punishment.
At this point in the story, they have finally reached the surreal moment of winning the Hunger Games. In chapter twenty, page three hundred and forty five, the text states," '... Ladies and gentlemen, I am pleased to present the victors of the Seventy-fourth Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark!' I give you---the tributes of District 12!' " Katniss's perseverance has paid off.
Katniss does this by stepping-in for her sister and putting her own life on the line when her sister is picked to fight. She also displays a selfless act of love
Another example of Love in the oppressed society is Katniss and Peeta. "If I want to keep Peeta alive, I’ve got to give the audience something more to care about. Star-crossed lovers desperate to get home together. Two hearts beating as one. Romance" (Collins 257).
The overarching theme of Suzanne Collins’ novel, The Hunger Games, is that love can make people forget their basic survival instincts as shown by Katniss’ willingness to put herself in peril to save her loved ones such as Primrose Everdeen, Peeta Mellark, and the girl from district eleven Rue. Love 's effect on a person 's survival instincts is first demonstrated by Katniss ' love for her younger sister, Primrose (Prim). In The Hunger Games, every year the districts hold a reaping to choose the tributes that go to the games. Prim gets called at the reaping and Katniss volunteers for her. In paragraph six chapter two of the novel it states “With one sweep of my arm, I push her behind me. ‘I volunteer!’
In the novel To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Tom Robinson and Arthur “Boo” Radley are two characters who represent the mockingbird. In the midst of finding who Boo truly is, Atticus Finch explains to his children, Jem and Scout, that it is a sin to kill the bird because they don’t do anything but make music. As the story progresses, and the two “mockingbirds” are being accused and attacked both verbally and physically, the identity of the mockingbirds surfaces. Tom Robinson was a crippled African American man whose left arm was a foot shorter than his right, where it was caught in a cotton gin.
Katniss and Peeta also seem to have a codependent relationship, and both benefit from each other, represented best when Katniss hunts for food while Peeta collects berries; showing how both use their strengths to help each other survive. Above all, Katniss and Peeta can relate to each other, as they have both been actively thrown into a giant arena and are both fighitng for their lives. From Katniss’ perspective, Peeta is a familar face in a time when her whole
Katniss Everdeen: Katniss Everdeen is the protagonist of the novel, and the story is told from her perspective. She is a 16-year-old girl who lives in District 12, the poorest region of a nation called Panem. She has straight black hair, olive skin and gray eyes. This is a common appearance for residents who live in the Seam.
Actually, Katniss is not chosen as tribute but she sacrifices herself as a tribute to replace her sister Prim. The plot also explains love triangle between Katniss, Peeta and Gale. Katniss as a central role in this movie looks strong and convincing with a bow and arrow. The analysis of the hunger games will be explain with Marxist theory because this movie related with marxism issue which is social class between capitol and twelve district.
