To be a 1%. No, not those high-fashion celebrities or exclusive billionaires, I aspire to serve among the elite 1% of men and women who are U.S. Naval Officers. Within my family alone a 100% service rate has commanded its way through from WWII to the present. The Navy runs in my blood as an inspirational goal. Acquiring the moral responsibilities of a leader would ensure my personal attributions be a well-rounded design. I feel a debt of gratitude to America, and no better way to repay than through military service. I’ve observed that a key objective for the military is the intent to inspire. With an extensive background in family Naval history, my grandfather (Navy 0-5 F6F Hellcat pilot), uncle (Navy 0-5 F-14 pilot), mother (Navy 0-4 Intelligence Officer), and father (Navy 0-4 C-2 Greyhound pilot) have all influenced me to follow the tradition generations old. The aspiration to secure our skies and seas exhilarates me to no end. I want to provide the chance of a valuable and productive life to future posterity, attributes that have been afforded to me. As I work my way up through the ranks taking on new responsibilities, I will be prepared for the basic needs of an officer. With an officer job, I could respond to more serious and upgraded duties to work successfully and effectively as a team captain. I also feel it is my obligation as an American citizen to pay homage to our veterans and country. It is important to keep the legacy of America alive, and as an officer I can see myself on the forefront. After seeing the multitude of honor veterans receive, my donation to them would be to continue their labor of freedom in the Navy. I want to be a Naval Officer for the joys of the sea, machines, and American power. It wouldn’t be a job for me rather an exhilarating lifestyle. To be apart of the 1% relegates integrity, commitment and American
I would strive to be a person of integrity, like Raoul Wallenberg or Albert Schweitzer, who can make a difference between life and death. I would also educate myself on the experiences of those who have suffered from injustice and use my privilege to amplify their voices. It's easy to feel overwhelmed by the enormity of the issues facing our world today. However, as Elie Wiesel reminds us, "There is much to be done, there is much that can be done. " We must always take sides, and we must never be silent in the face of suffering and humiliation.
With adrenaline rushing through the body, a fighter jet rolls over 360 degrees, accelerating faster than the speed of sound. This rocketing machine can only be controlled by the most daring people in the world: a naval aviator. These pilots fly for the United States Navy, representing the nation in its powerful armed forces. Naval aviators don’t just fly planes; they train physically, mentally, and emotionally to protect their country and even the world. Indeed, naval aviators experience the rarest of opportunities: flying the most advanced aircraft and going up to twice the speed of sound.
My previous experience with ROTC in school and various leadership positions in school have already staged me to command a crew and deal with high stress environments on a daily basis and still thrive. The added bonus of knowledge mixed with leadership capabilities makes me a great candidate for this position. I am prepared to learn how to direct personnel operations, manage shipboard vertical launch systems, use computer displays and advanced technology in battle and ship defense, and provide support to Navy expeditionary
I want to be a GHS cheer captain. I may not be one of the most talented girls on the squad, but I feel I am one of the most dedicated. I have cheered for going on 4 years now and I know all the ins and outs of cheerleading. I have had my fair share of good captains and not so good captains, therefore I know what I need to do to leave a positive impact on all of you, as a captain.
I am excited for the opportunity to mold the future recruiting force to meet all of the challenges ahead, and to ensure that our Navy stays
As I am getting ready to begin my college years, my experience in America is getting richer every day. I have realized how much opportunities I have being an American citizen and living in this part of the world compared to the life i lived in Togo and I intend to make the most of it. I’m working toward my goals and one of them is to join the military. I always have the desire of serving people and I believe serving in the Military is one way to show my gratitude to my new country and its
Being cheer captain is a very important job not only is it important, but it comes with many responsibilities. Cheerleading itself is a very special privilege that people all around the world get to have the opportunity to do. Making the cheer team is one of the most exciting times of one’s life but becoming captain would be once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that would be a pleasure of anyone. Becoming cheer captain would give me the opportunity to be a good image to the squad, showcase my leadership abilities, and motivate my squad to spread spirit all throughout the school. When I think of a cheer captain I think of someone who gets along with every member of the team and is well liked by every last person on the team to include the coaches.
I want to be a Warrant Officer because this is how I can best serve my country. Society expects me to fulfill an enormous amount of responsibilities. I will do so with the most humble head all while fulfilling my responsibilities. I am ready, willing and highly motivated to enter what is perhaps the most challenging chapter in my
My goal is to attend the University of Houston, earn a major in Electrical Engineering and then commission as an officer in the Navy. As a freshmen in high school I joined NJROTC in order to help achieve this goal by developing leadership and other qualities like perseverance and the navy’s core values of Honor Courage and Commitment. While in The Los Fresnos NJROTC I have acquired a considerable amount of knowledge about the military and all the men that go out to fight in order to maintain peace and freedom. This has greatly influenced the way I feel about the American flag because I understand that the flag means so much that brave young men still to this day continue to sacrifice their lives in order to keep people like myself safe. It has influence me so much that I too wish to protect that peace and freedom not only with my life but with the knowledge that I will acquire with a collage education and the leadership that I have
It is my desire to attend the United States Naval Academy. My goal is to follow in my father 's footsteps as an officer in the naval branch of our armed forces. My father began his career as an enlisted seaman twenty years ago and is now serving as a Lieutenant. Being the son of a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, I have always had an interest in the military and a desire to also serve and follow his footsteps. It was not until high school when I decided that I wanted to attend the Naval Academy.
2. Are you enrolled in school and furthering your education in some capacity, whether it be certifications and or a degree(s), and tracking your education needed for your military career? 3. Are you happy? Taking an interest in the lives of your Soldiers on a broad scope I believe is important to ensuring that they are in good standing overall, comfortable in the path
What is a person willing to sacrifice in order to have the prestige to be called a Sailor? In an America where job opportunities seem to be scarce; where the idea of having student loans discourage people from obtaining a higher education; and high medical premiums force people to wait until the brink of death before gaining the courage to step into a money sucking corporation known as a Hospital, thousands of Americans are opting for the military way. But how to blame our future warriors? Nowadays, TV commercials are filled with military propaganda with catchy phrases such as “Accelerate Your Life” and “A Global Force for Good.” Who can say no to that?
Throughout my childhood and adolescent years, I always had a dream of joining the military. Though it was a choice, I still did not have any inside information of what it would be like, and the requirements and specifics of the Army. It wasn't until 2005 when I decided to join the United States Army that all my concerns and questions were answered by a recruit; and I was guided through the whole process to enter and prep for the Army. If it was not for the confidences and motivation of my recruiter back in 2005, I might have not made my leap and probably would not be in this uniform today. Becoming a member of the United States Army recruiting team means having a physical and mental toughness in order to perform efficiently.
My Dream to Serve Ever since I was little, I have always admired people who served our country. I still remember all of the stories that my mother would tell about her career in the military. I didn’t understand it as much as I do now, but I was still admired at what she would tell. During my middle school years, I would occasionally read books and articles about the military, and what they would do during their everyday lives. It would make me feel like I had a purpose in life, and it would make me feel better about myself, and that is when I decided to have a dream about going into the Air Force.
I want to be the ears that will listen and to be the voice that can speak words to help someone out. My goal in life is to became a social worker. Every since I was little all I ever wanted to do was help people. I know I will never be able to create world peace, but all I am asking for is the chance to be able to create a difference in some peoples lives, to be able to touch and help people in my life time. I have never been one that needs richest or frame, all I need is that humbling experience to be able to be their for other people.
