Otzi the Iceman was discovered in 1991. He was found in the snowy Otzal Alps. He lived about 5,300 years ago. He was named Otzi, after the location he was found. For many years, scientists studied his body to understand how he died. You will be surprised by the results. My claim is that Otzi was murdered by a group of early humans. The reasons I think Otzi was murder are according to “Digging for the Truth,” Otzi had minor cuts on his hands which means Otzi could have had a fight and was defending himself by holding his hands up and an arrow in his left shoulder. While reading, “Iceman Mummy 20 Yrs On: Mysteries Remain,” the arrow did not hit major organs in his body but the arrow did hit a major blood vessel which could have led to the iceman bleeding out. …show more content…
One of his weapons was a cooper axe. Back in the years when Otzi was alive, cooper could have meant someone was rich. The early human who murdered him could have wanted his axe. After he was attacked, Otzi traveled up the snowy Otzal Alps. After looking at the pictures of where his body was found in “Iceman Mummy 20 Yrs On: Mysteries Remain,” I noticed the area had a lot of rocks that he could have hid behind after being attacked where he became weak from losing blood and died. The counter-claim is that Otzi froze to death which many people believe. After hearing the story for the first time without knowing the details of the cuts to his hands and arrow found in his shoulder, it is possible to believe he froze. To refute, this counter-claim, according to “Digging for the Truth,” scientist state he was wearing very warm clothing. His coat was made of goat skin, shoes had dried grass and his hat was bear skin. He also wore skin leggings with all of these warm animal skins there was no way he froze to

I remember the day. I remember the day I had to get braces. That day, I went to the orthodontist’s office with my parents and the process began. After 3 hours of irritation and pain in my mouth, I walked out of the doctor’s office with braces on my teeth and instructions of what not to eat. Every time I think about that day, I remember my parents.
One that seems to make sense is that he was assassinated by a clanmate who was jealous of his position. This is likely because of his copper axe, the arrowhead’s type and its location in his back and a large stone inside the cave which depicted the assassination. First, the Iceman’s axe was made of smelted copper which was advanced for his time, and signified that he was a man of power or position. Although a small detail, it would make sense that someone could have desired his status. In Ötzi’s time and culture, when people of authority were killed, their position would go to their killer.
The victim had no shirt or pants on, and there was a slice on the back of his neck and the back of his left leg. There was also the rope used to tie him up, which could not be identified by trace analysts because they had never seen it before. He wiped his knife clean on Eberle’s shirt, and left the
There were special tattoos on his body. There was a hole in the back of his head, and there was pollen in his stomach. Since Otzi had many I teams with him and things on his body there are many different theories and scenarios on how he could have died My theory on how Otzi died is ritual sacrifice. I think Otzi died by being being sacrificed because he had tattoos over his body.
A computed axial tomography scan was done in 2005 showing that Tutankhamun died with an open wound fracture on his left leg. Within the bone, when the mummified body was examined, they found resin which was used by the Ancient Egyptians to preserve the body so the wound had to have been obtained around the time of his death otherwise the resin would not have found it’s way into the young King’s bone. In 2013 Ultimate Tut, a documentary dedicated to solving the mystery of the King Tut’s death, was released. With this new information was also released accordingly showing us that the severe trauma shown on Tutankhamun matches that of a person who has been run over by a chariot wheel. His body was missing a breast bone, broken ribs and a missing heart, possibly too damaged to be preserved for the afterlife, it is clear that Tutankhamun suffered serious trauma when approaching his death.
A blow to the head, a wound on the hand, and an arrow to the shoulder. These 3 key evidences show that Otzi the Iceman was assassinated. X-rays show that there is an arrowhead in his shoulder. This caused a blood clot that could have helped Otzi’s death. There was also damage to the head.
In the book of the Odyssey, Odysseus’s lied at times, but I think they all were an important part of this book. First reason, the Cyclops if Odysseus hadn’t lied to him, then what will happen? Maybe Odysseus will die there. Also, Odysseus’s crew, if he doesn’t omit the truth, they were already reaching their homeland. Finally, he reached his homeland Ithaca and disguised as a beggar and he lied his wife and the suitors.

Any movie associated with mummies usually involves some nasty curse that brings treasure hunters to a bad end. But what if this whole “mummy curse” concept isn’t just some Hollywood speculation? What if it were really true? Well as a matter of fact, in the early 1920’s such a curse, called the “Pharaoh’s Curse”, fascinated audiences worldwide. Like any other myth, the pharaoh’s curse has a backstory to how this curse originated, why it’s claimed to be a curse, and what other theories there were to explain the odd events that occurred.
His father Unoka was quoted “in his day was lazy and improvident and was quite incapable of thinking about tomorrow”. Basically saying he didn’t care about his life, so in what possible way could he have cared for Okonkwo’s. And his wife Ekwefi he didn’t technically shoot. He didn’t kill so there might have been sympathy there because she was completely defenseless and didn’t die so you can tell he intentionally didn’t kill her.
The novel Oryx and Crake opens with the desolate scene. Even when the reader reads the first page of the novel, they get to know about the man named Snowman, who is shown as the last man standing in the world after the great catastrophe has hit the world and wiped out the human race other than Snowman himself. Snowman is shown as the survivor and also as the person who struggles to barely survive by scavenging whatever is left of human civilization: “Then he goes to the other side of the tree . . . and rummages around in the cache he’s improvised from a few slabs of concrete, lining it with wire mesh to keep out the rats and mice.
According to Zohi Hawass’ article on King Tut’s Family Secrets, mummies lead archaeologists and scholars to contradicting feelings about whether they should be studied or not. Inspecting Tutankhamun’s body, artifacts and two fetuses found in the tomb drove archaeologists to pose questions needing answers. CT scan assisted in determining that Tutankhamun was nineteen years old when dying, had a broken leg, and skull’s hole. Moreover, using DNA analysis displayed Tutankhamun’s clubbed foot, missing toe’s bone, and disease’s pathogen. Both CT scan and DNA analysis helped archaeologists discover Tutankhamun’s complex family relationship and how his family sibling marriage led them to suffer from genetic diseases.
