“It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” - E.E. Cummings. That’s exactly what Quinntin did to his life. Paper Towns by John Green is about a girl, Margo, and a boy, Quinntin. Margo is a straight A student with a decent family, but wants a new life or as she explains it, a non paper town life. Quinntin, better known Q, follows Margo all over town into a new world he never knew about. Courage is important because without it no one would take chances, no one would make mistakes to learn lessons, and no one for sure will live there life to the fullest. Without courage Paper Towns wouldn’t be the same book. In the book Margo takes courage and spins it into a new life. Without it there would be no plot. For example, it took courage to give pay book to all the people who have wronged her in the middle of the night. This scene is very important for the book without Margo building up enough courage to do what she thought was write the book would need a whole new plot.
