This is a maxim that I reach for to define my college experience and personal goals in life. You see, I am not your typical college student. I am hungry! But I do not hunger for food; rather I have a rapacious appetite for success . I possess the desire to succeed which is in parallel to my drive to become exceptional . Naturally, my main motivation is I want to help the sick and needy, and while yes it is true that you can help people in many ways . I specifically want to enjoy the satisfaction and the challenge of helping sick people get well, and I believe the doctor provides the most direct help . I see medicine as field which allows you to appreciate the many wonders of the human body, medicine also encourages the learning of new concepts such as new procedures, new types of diseases and new types of drugs which are found. The financial challenges I face are due to the fact that I am an immigrant therefore I have not yet established myself in this country. Currently I work two part time jobs to pay for school. Even though I work two jobs I find it difficult to finance my education as even though I have paid most of my tuition out of my pocket, I find it difficult to buy books which I have realized are essential for all classes. My mother is a waitress but her responsibility is making sure I have basic necessities of food and shelter therefore the financing of my education is solely upon me.
