As a senior, it has come to my attention of what I consider my plans to be after high school. Some students develop a trade in such fields as: health care, technology, or automotive repair and go straight into their craft. You also are blessed to have those that make rash decision to devote their lives to the military fighting for our country. Last, but not least, there are students like myself who are eager for the four-year college experience. We, then have our teacher who encourages and provokes higher education with their lower salaries and large amounts of student loans/ I digress to even discuss those who work for large unskilled businesses, such as Hyundai. The education system, that teacher’s so dearly love, is indeed not giving them
The lunch bell rang loudly in my ear as I packed up my materials from math class. As soon as Mrs. Millie released our class, I raced everyone else in our grade to my locker so I wouldn’t have to wait in the back. I quickly entered the combination into my lock, snatched my lunch box from the top shelf and met up with Whitney by the cafeteria doors to get a good table that wasn’t in the back corner where we normally sat. “So, how have you been since...
If I were the person that I used to be back in high school, or even directly after high school, I would fail these classes with straight “F”s. The reason is not because I was not smart enough, but because I was not willing to put in the effort, concentration, and dedication needed to get a good grade. This is hard work! Good thing I decided to grow up a bit in the past 14 years so I take it seriously.
How much luck does one need to get drafted by their favorite team right after college? A lot of people say that all it takes is hard work and dedication but I am going to do a little more. Its not my dream to become pro, its a goal because not all dreams become true. If my goal fails, I would like to be in sports medicine.
Coming back from summer vacation is difficult, but coming back and having to start in a totally new environment makes it even harder. I remember coming back and being confuzed. Not just academically, but also socially. I would wonder how I would fit in with my new peers, and if I would start falling behind in my classes. Lucky for you, I have some advice for you, so you can do your absolute best in Jr. High, whether it’s academically, socially, or anything about personal responsibility, I’ve got you covered.
"Did you start yet? " I mumbled through a numbed mouth filled with medical tools. The doctor chuckled and replied, "I am actually almost done. " My mouth felt swollen and bubbly and I could not see his work at all.
I presently find myself at that point in my life where I’m theoretically to decide what I want to do for the remainder of my life. There’s no uncertainty that I will pursue a college education, as that is what is paramount for my future. Malcom X once said “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” My ultimate goal is to acquire the most promising, advantageous education possible. With any luck, this will permit me a career that sustains a suitable quality of life.
All I was doing, was eating my lunch. "You suck," "You cant do anything!" Tears rolled down my eyes... It was February 1st, 2016, and I just finished math class. I was really stressed out in math because I was just out sick for two days and I wasn't understanding anything.
I felt sick. My breath was coming in short, uneven puffs and my stomach felt like it was being twisted and squeezed and shoved into my lungs. I could feel the butterflies bumping into one another and then crash landing against the edges of my belly. My hands were shaking harder than they were this morning and I could not find my voice. I wanted to fall into some kind of pit where I could go home and eat ice cream and pretend that I did not exist.
For many years, a question has been ask trillions of times throughout the homes of families. What are you going to do after High School? Graduating High School A day I will never forget was the day that I graduated high school. All the emotions were overwhelming and hard to handle sometimes. It was hard to accept that one of the biggest chapters in my life was about to be over and I was about to start an even bigger one.
For as long as I have remembered, I have dreamed of getting into a good college. If i take the early college pathway, my life will be way easier after I graduate, and get into a college, because I will only have to take a couple of years to graduate. If I take the early college program, I can enjoy the rest of my life after college, because I will only have to take a couple of years. The first reason I want to get into the early college pathway is because it will save time in the future for me, after I graduate from high school.
After finishing High School, I felt like I had just accomplished a chapter in my life. I was now moving on to college to pursue a bachelor 's degree in Criminal Justice. I would be attending Santa Monica College, starting fall of 2016. I decided to go to SMC to experience its culturally diverse environment. My first semester I had many obstacles; however, it was worth it because at the end I learned to not give up.
All of my high school years i 've wanted to be remembered and leave an impact on this school. I wanted to be involved and try my hardest in everything I do, and excel even more. I love this school and would not want to graduate from anywhere else, continuing my family tradition. I have been a participant in track, show choir and also band.
The future is a big worry to many students as they go approach high school and graduation. Some have no idea what they want to do with life. Some students have known what they aspire to do even back to their freshman year. I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my future until this year, my senior year. I definitely know now that I want to go to college after high school.
An inevitable part of being a high school senior is the question “ What do you want to be when you grow up?” a question hasn’t intimidated me since i was 6 years old. With my fellow teenagers, i spend these conversations praying they don’t ask me what I plan to do post-graduation, because i plan on becoming a High school History teacher. Unsurprisingly, nothing is more abhorrent to high school seniors than the idea of going through college just to come right back to high school as a teacher. I’ve learned to expect the brief pause followed by a look of genuine confusion and concern, then a thorough interrogation.
