My Science project topic is How do different fertilizers affect plant growth? The way plants grow is through a process called photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process which a plant gets light energy or sunlight to make food for their selves. Photosynthesis takes place in the chloroplasts. The chloroplast has an organelle inside of it called chlorophyll which has a green pigment, chlorophyll is green because it absorbs red and blue light. Inside the chloroplasts there are stacks of thylakoids which contain the chlorophyll pigment. The sun is the efficient source of energy for all living things on earth. This fertilizer is for all flowers, shrubs, vegetables, and house plants. It feeds the flowers roots and leaves, its ideal for all plants for supreme growth in every watering. With this plant you must be careful not to over fertilize for this will burn out the plant and grow weak stems and less blooms. What I know will happen in the duration of the time period is these plants will grow to their full length they reach to about 16 to 30 inches. To keep the flowers coming you must pick off the seed balls or the dead ones so new ones can grow. You will know if the plant has matured because there will be bright, vibrant flowers. Lantanas should never dry out because they must be watered continually, even in wintered seasons. Lantanas adapt to any soil condition. These flowers can be grown indoors or outside, while indoor you need a pot or plant bed. Outside you can plant them on a base of a wall or outlines of trees. Lantanas are very colorful and a great choice of decorating for a patio or balcony. Lantana species are cultivated for their flowers in the tropical and subtropical environments for their growth in warmer climates. This plant is located in 50 different countries across the world and located closer to the equator. Lantanas can out compete other desirable plants to create the reduction of biodiversity. Since this plant is an Invasive species it can cause problems and can invade agricultural activities. For the result of its toxicity level of livestock which can be very harmful to its growth. Lantana Camaras have small tube like flowerets on top with a nice strong green stem. These flowers can come in any color to blue, red, orange, white, yellow, and violets of any shade. They can differ in growth with their location, climate, and position. These plants create pollen which is a powdery substance insects pick up which will help out other flowers growing. This process is very beneficial to butterflies, bees, humming birds and many other insects. The leaves of Lantanas are small in size dimensions, when crushed of broken set off a very strong odor. Lantana Camaras can be specified as weeds in the paleo tropics. Lantanas can tremendously slowdown the growth of forests by preventing the growth of trees. These plants are also fire resistant it can also redirect the patterns in forest and their ecosystems.
