Google may be separating themselves from Boston Dynamics but that doesn 't mean the robotics company is giving up. Their latest release is a 55lb robot dog and it loves coke.
BOSTON DYNAMICS INVENTS COKE ADDICT ROBOT
For those that are familiar with Boston Dynamics Spot robot, then their newest creation will excite you. SpotMini is a smaller version of Spot and weighs just 55 lbs. Additionally, it 's an all-electric robot without hydraulics and can run for about 90 minutes on a charge. In the featured video, SpotMini is seen accomplishing a variety of tasks. It can leisurely trot around the block, crawl under obstacles, avoid collisions, climb stairs and yes, even pour itself a tasty Coke. Despite these accomplishments, banana peels still

If SpotMini already has an attraction to Coke (a human product mind you) then who 's to say it won 't crave more human qualities in the future? The creators of these robots say they have these things under control. However, that 's what every evil mastermind says before their creation takes over. Dr. Frankenstein certainly didn 't think his monster would become famous being an evil disaster and it 's unlikely George Bush thought his middle east tinkering would take on a life of its own. Not to say that SpotMini will become an unstoppable force but the discussion needs to be had.
RELAX AND HAVE A COKE SAYS BOSTON DYNAMICS
For those worried conspiracy theorists, Boston Dynamics urges you to relax. Sit back, have a beer and let SpotMini pour it for you. The purpose of SpotMini is not to replace humans. If anything, it will replace dogs first. The robot is quieter than a dog, doesn 't need food, water or any walks in the park. It will sit on command and even perform routine maintenance around the house. SpotMini won 't eat your shoes, hump your leg or chase the mailman and it definitely won 't crap on the floor. If it did, though, you can bet your bottom dollar that it would
Justin Dempsey, a husband and a father of two teenagers has been a police officer for the NYPD for ten years. Dempsey says, “This is one of the hardest things I 've ever had to do for my job. It 's devastating how many lives were lost to these blobs.” All two million blobs were killed by a dangerous poison that scientist created. It was unharmful to humans but very dangerous to the blobs which are now named, hirocitria.
Bonnie Docherty does not support the idea of using robot for warfares due to moral issues. She states :”It would undermine human dignity to be killed by a machine that can’t understand the value of human life.”. She also convokes the ban on the use of robots in war “before humanity crosses what she calls a moral threshold.”. She emphasizes how these machines will completely change the way of war like what gunpowder and nuclear have done. Thus, she worries about what these machines are capable of doing and who will take the responsible for war
(CNN)President-elect Donald Trump is "irritated" with top aide Kellyanne Conway 's public campaign against Mitt Romney 's potential nomination as Secretary of State, according to a source. The Trump source, who is familiar with the President-elect 's thinking, acknowledged the existence of an internal feud between Conway and chief of staff Reince Priebus, specifically about the choice between Romney and former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani for the nation 's top diplomatic position. The strange feud playing out in public between Romney and Giuliani has captured the attention of the nation in a way rarely seen after the election ends and the transition to the White House begins.
Area 51 is a United States military base, it is legendary for massive amounts of alien (or extra-terrestrials) sightings, Not only that, but the base is know for conducting Nuclear weapons, and experimental aircraft and weapon systems. Nearly a hundreds later after the construction of Area 51, much of it is unknown and shrouded in conspiracies which the public is still are unsure of who built them. After hearing many tales of the secret military base, I took it upon myself to get to the root of the situation, and to find out if area 51 is really experimenting on aliens or is it just a senseless rumor that spread.
Thompson illustrated what kind of world we would live in if work were to diminish. This world included excessive amounts of dominating robots, contentious politics, and leisure time. For the past couple of years people have said that robots will take over and dominate humans. This has always been a myth, or rather a topic that is brushed off of the shoulders. However, this fantasy is quickly becoming a reality due to current trends in technology.
We live in an age where technology reigns free and cameras are everywhere. Most people carry a smartphone with the ability to record events as they happen at the time, and the footage appears frequently on the news and internet. In the field of law enforcement, a prominent debate is forming as to if police officers should wear body worn cameras so they can similarly record incidents in real time. Many departments in the United States have adopted body cameras as standard equipment today. In California, a police department has been using body cameras and recording what happens between officers.
The main argument Kevin Kelly estates is how the development of technology, robots to be precise, has the possibility to expand many possibilities in human's lifestyle. This doesn't necessarily means robots take control over everything, since new jobs and ideas are the results of this progress over time. Kelly view robots as an effective process that would make the human race not only achieve their everyday life goals in a simpler way, but also throughout the years new activities and goals could be perceive caused by machines. In today's culture, we are familiarize with machines, our tasks have been easy to achieve and we have much more time to do other things thanks to this. Baxter, a revolutionary workbot designed by Rodney Brooks, is an example for what could be the future alongside humans.
For the fact that I did not have to worry about my dog being bound up with energy. We would get home and my dog would be worn out and content and not cause any disfunction in the house. Bringing me to my next point, in the second article the person says that they would have to worry about "loud barking dogs and yelling owners disturbing the nearby residents. ", if you have a good dog, which most people who take their dogs out to a park or public area do... there wouldn't be much of a problem. Because the more you take them out the more obedient they seem to get.
Do you think soft drinks should be separated for women and men? Or do you think everybody should be able to drink soft drinks? Well if you aren't for sure, i am here to tell you. The company that owns Dr.Pepper, made a new soft drink that appeals to men, and it is called Dr.Pepper 10. Dr.Pepper 10 was developed after the company's research found that men shy away from diet drinks that aren't perceived (or to become aware) as "manly" enough.
PURPOSE The goal of this lab was to build a mousetrap powered car. The mousetrap car needed to travel fifteen feet. The purpose of building these mousetrap cars was to demonstrate our knowledge of motion, friction, force, distance, and energy. We have studied these concepts, and each one is a factor in the success of a mousetrap car.
Google co-founder Sergey Brin states, “certainly if you had all the world’s information directly attached to your brain, or an artificial brain that was smarter than your brain, you’d be better off” (Carr 10). Larry Page and Sergey Brin often talk about how they want to create a machine-like HAL in Stanley Kubrick’s film, “A Timeless Space Odyssey”. For the most part, Carr believes this project is an ambitious project filled with uncertainty and interest all around, but still feels uncertain about how we will be able to reap in all
Ford states, “…I was programmed to have an accident if I became dangerously close to remembering…” The CIA claims that they currently do not take part in projects such as MK-Ultra. “ …the events about which we are here to talk about are 12- to 24- years old. They in no way represent the current activities or policies of the Central Intelligence Agency.
Throughout history, the human has always envisioned living a lifestyle where chores were considered as a part of the past. With the development of humanoids and androids robots in the 1950’s, chores were really becoming part of the past. Therefore, because robots were able to adapt and meet the needs and wants of humans. As a result, we started to see an increase in both the use and production of robots in factories and households. In the article “The Robot Invasion” the author Charlie Gills, is really able to convey the relevance and effectiveness of a robot through the use of the tone, purpose, and credibility.
the driverless cars parked in spots it wasn’t supposed to park? As robots become more popular lawmakers will have to come up with ways to control machines and have computers responsible. “Only four states and the District of Columbia have passed laws specific to driverless cars” says Miller. Lawyers and the car’s designers say none of these issues are going to prevent self-driving cars from being legalized because current
— Bill Gates Bottom Line Artificial intelligence was once a sci-fi movie plot but it is now happening in real life. Humans will need to find a way to adapt to these breakthrough technologies just as we have done in the past with other technological advancement. The workforce will be affected in ways difficult to imagine as for the first time in our history a machine will be able to think and in many cases much more precisely than
