Do you want the government taking your guns? Do you want a strong military? If a foreign person comes in the United States of America illegally, what do you think should happen to them? When the mother of an unborn child puts the child to rest before the child has a chance to take its first breath which is known as abortion. Immigration is when a person comes to live in a foreign country permanently. Many republicans believe that we need to keep track of who comes in and out of the United States of America. There have been many people enter this country legally, but we have them certain ones that come in illegal. The republican party believes we need to make sure the illegal immigrants do not get the same freedom as the immigrants that come in the legal way. We would rather the immigrants to be legal to make sure no American citizens are harmed or hurt by these illegal immigrants. Republicanviews.org, said that “they created The Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program is an online system designed to help benefit-issuing agencies, institutions, and licensing agencies determine the immigration status of applicants.” They want to see this program grow throughout the United States of …show more content…
They are gonna do that by keeping track of who enters the U.S and leaves the U.S. The VIST system, which is located in 115 airports and land ports keeps track of who is coming and going from the USA. This program also helps us know how long someone is here and if they're here too long we know they're trying to become an illegal citizen so they come looking for that person and get them out. According to Republicanviews.org We are trying to “ provide these benefits, the Republican Party is pushing for the US VISIT system to be used at all borders, as well as to increase the use of reconnaissance cameras, border patrol agents, and unmanned aerial flights at borders. They also seek to provide border patrol agents with more advanced technology, tools, structures, and sufficient force to properly secure the borders.”
Military spending is also know as a defense budget, the amount of financial resources dedicated by a nation to raise and maintain a country. Since WWII there has been lots of fluctuation of how much the military spends. As we go from president to president we can see constant changes in how much our country spends on the military. In the year 2000 the gross budget of spending was cut to its lowest since 1939. Since then the military has been weaker than it
It states that the defense budget was at its highest in the decades of 1940’,50’, and 1990’. What this shows is that these years were not only times of the Soviet Union and the US being at war but also competing with technical and military advances. So in order for the United States to have higher technology and military it was necessary for the defense budget to increase, however this also caused a decrease in sending for other programs in the United States that could have used this funding as
The republicans are not in favor of gun control, but in favor of the Second Amendment, which is the right to bear arms, while democrats are in favor of gun control. This article addresses many different opinions of liberals and conservatives. This article also addresses a flaw in our two-party system, because with the rise of democrats coming into the Senate, there will be a rise in conflicts between the two opposing parties. However, the republican representatives stand strong with their belief that they can not take away a constitutionally given right without due process. Due process is the fair treatment for all humans using the normal judicial system especially through entitlement by a citizen.
In fact, the capabilities and capacities called for by the 2014 QDR clearly exceed budget resources made available to the Department”. (Perry Abizaid). However, the Department of Defense is far from suffering like sequestration opponents claim. As Benjamin H Friedman from the Cato Institute points out, defense spending grew “in real terms” 77 percent from 1999 to 2010, adjusted for inflation, reaching levels unseen since World War II. (Friedman)
A high base level of defense spending during the Cold War resulted from global anti-communism(Higgs). Countries around the world were afraid of the spread of communism and so most of them focused on internal issues to prevent the spread of it. Regan amplified defense spending through his terms and as a result, overspending in the government left America in debt and with a broken and unstable economy. “Between 1978 and 1980, real military outlays increased by $15.7 billion, or 10.4 percent; between 1980 and 1987, by $84.4 billion, or 50.7 percent. For the entire nine-year buildup, annual outlays went up by $100.1 billion, or 66.4 percent”(The Cold War Economy).
Around 20% of the Soviet Union’s money was spent on the military. Much higher than the US which was only 4%. The money spent could have been
Gun Control Policies The gun control or (firearms regulation) is a set of policies that regulate the modification, sale, manufacture, possession, transfer, or even the use of firearms by people. This policy was intended to limit the possession of a handgun to those who complete a background check and are cleared, and to those who have no mental illnesses. This would attempt to make sure that handguns do not end up in the hands of the wrong people, such as criminal, or those that have been convicted prior to these policies of gun abuse. With these policies in place it hopefully would cut down on gun violence.
More and more immigrants are sneaking into the United States each year. One way to possibly lower the number of illegal aliens is to post guards along the border. These men could be on constant patrol, scouting for people trying to sneak across the border. If it would be too difficult to use guards, motion sensors can be placed
There are many different issues that the various parties in the United States have fought over. One of the biggest topics for discussion is that of abortion. Abortion is when a person chooses to have a fetus removed from them before birth and the fetus essentially dies. The Republican party firmly believes that a fetus is a living person and that to abort a fetus is essentially murder. This means that they are against abortion and those abortion clinics should not exist for people who are seeking an abortion.
While Novak does not necessarily appear to support any side of the gun control argument, he does imply that Republicans have largely derailed efforts to enforce the law regarding gun violence cases. The writer’s main purpose for writing the article is to show that there is a different way of looking at the gun control debate and to also show the wrongs, in his opinion, that are committed by the interested parties in this debate. Novak takes the risk of appearing subjective in his article which can make him appear less professional. As a journalist, he is supposed to appear
Gun control has been a heated debate for several decades, recently, the discussion surrounding this matter has intensified. The argument seems to be divided into liberal and conservative views, thoughts, and values. A majority of liberals desire stricter gun laws, required mental health check-ups, and longer waiting periods when it comes to purchasing a gun. However, the general census among the Republicans is less governmental interference because they feel that there is already too much governmental control involved. The Republican Party often does not want stricter gun laws because the problem at hand is not the gun itself, but the individual wielding the gun.
Abortion became legal in America in 1973 due to a Supreme Court case Roe vs Wade and has continued to be a popular issue (“Roe v. Wade”). Abortion is a topic that many people have different views on and feel strongly about. It’s also a very heated topic within the government parties, with the disagreement of each one’s views. Democrats believe that women have the right to decide what they want to do with their body. They also believe that a fetus is not a human life, therefore, they have no individual rights.
26 Oct. 2015. This article talks about the supporters and non-supporters of gun control and what all of it could lead too. It talks about our Second Amendment rights and how the Democrats as well as The Republicans wanted to make it harder for the mentally ill to get firearms in their hands. They would increase the funding for the prosecutions and they would even get more strict on the control of gun trafficking. This article also states that The Democrats were very quick to blame The Republicans for the broken gun laws.

Immigration is the action of settling into a country of which one is not native. Despite the many legal immigrants not every immigrant enters the country with legal documents and most of these illegal immigrants are poor and uneducated. Some undocumented immigrants commit crimes such as drug smuggling, or terrorism.
