From the moment, I walked into the Leprino building, I felt welcomed. The MAC faculty and staff were well organized and the time frame was according to the schedule. Residency 1 was loaded with a ton of information. Furthermore, I am happy and confident that I decided to join CCU. Day 1, July 27, 2017. I was the first to arrive at the Residency program. The first person to greet and welcome me was Dr. Burkhart. After meeting Dr. Burkhart I knew that I knew, my experience was going to be amazing! Like many, I was anxious and excited both, simultaneously. As the room began to fill up, I noticed friendly smiles from my class of 2019 classmates. I walked around and introduced myself to my classmates and the faculty and staff. As the introductions and review of the schedule were announced, the excitement and eagerness to start the MAC program grew. In the afternoon on day 1, we began our first role play. The group I was in was RP: N, M: RED. Prior to role playing, we were given successful tips from Faculty. It was interesting to find out in which category I would land whereas I thought I was a good listener. I was in Dr. Nichols group. In my first role play, I started off as the counselor. (Wichterman, 2017). Henceforth, I continued to embrace all the material that was given. On Saturday day 3, it was a packed house. As I continued to grow my network of friendship with my classmates my love for faith and hungry of the MAC program grew. Saturday was also a day of loaded information and although the first part of the morning the information had already been repeated, it was nice to have it reiterated for clear understanding. Additionally, the guest speaker, Andrew Romanoff gave a great speech on mental health and did really well on sharing his personal background. We all have a determination in standing strong for what makes
The University of Arkansas has a thriving student population that combines countless cultural backgrounds. By living on campus, I’ve been able to learn about and appreciate various cultures and their practices, permitting new relationships to grow and prosper. Because of this, I want to be the one who facilitates healthy relationships among residents. Through these relationships, a positive and comfortable atmosphere would be created. I believe that personal and academic success is directly related to a good home-base, so I want to be able to create such a place for residents.
Hope you had a wonderful New Year. I want to thank you once again for giving the opportunity to interview at St. Joseph’s Family Medicine Residency Program on September 29, 2015. I enjoyed my interview at your program and meeting with the faculty and residents. Also, I appreciate you taking your time to give me a follow-up call last week. I was very impressed how close-knit the program was and how smoothly the faculty and residents interacted.
As I sit in the basement of the Lilly Library, surrounded by friends who have become family in a few short months, covered in calculus and EQ notes, and listening to some Duke Ellington jazz music for my Music 101 class, I can’t help but reflect on what this year has meant to me and my development as a student, athlete, brother, friend, and person. I entered Wabash College not exactly sure what to expect; I knew it was going to be different, but I also knew that with change I wanted to keep an open mind that was ready to learn and grow. Freshman tutorial and especially enduring questions are two classes that have pushed my boundaries as a person, forcing me to question core beliefs and ideas that seemed previously engrained in my mind. Throughout
The documentary begins with students receiving their acceptance letters from different Universities, and how exciting it is for first-year students and families to be a part of a new community. As the movie progresses, students begin to explain their first weeks of welcoming.
I believe that any resident assistant who facilitates the freshman class should be applauded. Resident assistants in your freshman year are a key stepping stone in becoming a knowledgeable and worldly student at Wentworth Institute of Technology. By sojourning as a resident assistant for multiple semesters, Ted reflects the key tenants of the Leopard’s Oath. The first tenant, act with compassion and respect, Ted shows in his everyday actions. He adheres to the Wentworth code of conduct and makes sure everyone under him-- or rather, alongside him-- does the same.
Whether it’s getting coffee together at Harper Cafe in the morning, talking in the Quad after lunch, or grabbing dinner in my House dining hall, I know that my classmates and their bona fide passion for whatever they're studying—government, economics, or theology—will fuel me to drive for excellence and impact both during and long after my four arduous years at the University. In brief, I hope that this letter finds the committee well and that I will be able to call UChicago home this August.
What motivated you to apply for this position? Be specific. I want the Resident Advisor (RA) position because it’s related to my major, Interactive and Social Media. The job is very customer focused and connects to all different types of people. I want to be able to incorporate my communication skills and contribute positivity to my future peers as well as creating new friendships.
Please accept my resume to showcase my interest in the position of Resident Assistant. I believe that I am an excellent candidate due to my leadership ability, my academic achievement, and my overall attitude. I am a firm believer in academia being the top priority while in college and I have proven this attitude through my performance over the past semester. As a Political Science and International Business double major at Monmouth College, who is on the Pre-Law track, I aspire to work in politics one day as a Political Campaign Manager. My academic attitude, I believe, is important for a Resident Assistant to hold because as a RA, one should be a role model for the other members of the hall.
Holding an RHA position requires a plethora of skills in leadership, personal balance, academic balance, professional balance, and communication. Currently I am seeking a future in the Resident Assistant (RA) positon which will allow me to learn and utilize these skills when providing conflict resolution and creating relationships within my hall. In order to get a better understanding of many different aspects that go into being an RA, I interviewed a current RA named Bayleigh____ and asked her about the several different factors that relate to her personal life and the job itself. She explained her position and how it directly affected her life as a student as well as the personal challenges she faced regularly. The interview provided me with
Resident Assistants serve many purposes and play many roles in the community. They help to build and promote a supportive and active community within their residence hall and across the campus, and offer support and guidance to their residents. This aids in making Geneseo feel more like home and a community rather than simply a school. RAs enforce Geneseo and Department of Student Life rules, while also being a more easily accessible and less intimidating resource to other students in need of help. I want to be an RA so that I can become more involved in the Geneseo community in a positive way, by helping and representing other students.
I am interested in your New Graduate Nurse Residency Program. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Boston and recently obtained my MA RN license in August 2015. I choose to be an RN because I love learning about the anatomy and physiology of the human body and working with people. When I was a little girl, I would watch the Discovery Health channel instead of watching cartoons. In high school, I became interested in social justice work when I did a month long volunteer service trip to India.
This week I met with a social worker at Cherry Health which is located a few blocks from Heart of the City. When I met with the social worker we did a role playing exercise. She played a client that was experiencing depression and sadness. In addition, she role played as a client that she typically work with at the agency and I role played as the therapist. I enjoyed the role play because I was able to receive feedback about my progress.
PATIENT CARE EXPERIENCE AND PARTNERING IN CARE Name of Student Institution Affiliation Patient care experience and Partnering in care Health care is continuously evolving with improvements in cures and medical equipments. Nevertheless, this does not transform into better health care delivery. To ensure proper and satisfactory services in the health care industry, it is important to focus on patient care experience and partner in care along with the families. We discuss this approach and its benefits, especially for the elderly like Mr. Taylor and how it helps them overcome the barriers they face for healthcare delivery.
This clinical experience has really helped me to sharpen my communication skills and realize just how important it is to understand mental health. We are told multiple times in class that mental health issues can be seen on any floor and that is the truth. I’ve seen patients in my older adult clinical on the pulmonary floor suffer from issues that range from anxiety to bipolar disorder and depression. Being able to understand how to approach people that suffer from these types of illnesses, allows us, the nurses, to give the patient the best care that we can. It helps to build a trusting relationship and get to know them on a personal level.
By encouraging role playing it increases peer relationship, communication, and breaking any barriers that might be created. Placing leadership and employees to role play allows both roles to better understand the different angles as to where initiatives are created and how they are executed. There will be an outside facilitator providing role playing trainings, where different scenarios will be provided. There will be on the moment feedback provided to the team by the facilitator to allow a better understanding of the impact each have. Role playing is economically inexpensive as it can occur at different times of the year with small group of people, and in the long run minimizing any distraction from the goal (such as negative workplace
