Barnett at the Mercantile because he made them wait. Whenever Cassie went to Strawberry she went into the Mercantile so T.J. could show her the pistol he wanted. They got in there and waited, waited some more, and waited even longer. Person after Person Mr. Barnett let cut in front of them. Cassie got fed up with it and said ¨I think you forgot, but you was waiting on us ´fore you was waiting on this girl here, and we been waiting a good while now for you to get back.¨ Just think, you were in a store looking at guns and the person working kept skipping this little girl next to you. You see her open her mouth and say that. I don 't know about you but I would be astonished. A nine year old girl saying... that? She 's gotta be pretty brave. Cassie doesn 't understand segregation. She thinks that everybody should be treated the same. She isn 't afraid to stand up for what she believes. Throughout the book Roll of Thunder Hear my Cry, this 9-year-old wild child with the name of Cassie Logan keeps catching my eye. She always stands up for what she believes and even if she knows she 's wrong, she still fights for it. Her courage shows and brings attention to white people that its not fare. She doesn 't understand why she gets treated this way. Cassie is a crazy loving girl. She knows what 's right but doesn 't understand why she gets treated like this. If you were Cassie, how would you react to all of these

She shoots him. When the man is dead she reaches into his hand to see what the object was. It was a crucifix. As Cassie is starting on her trek to Fort Knox she gets shot in the leg. Cassie shows she is about to give up, for instance she says “I'm talking about the Cassie I was before the Arrival, before the Others parked their alien butts in high orbit.
A while after Beckham had left, Cassie was most likely experiencing anxiety due to random noises in the basement. Draper then snuck up the stairs to slam the door while Torey was the first one to stab Cassie. After Torey stabbed Stoddart, Draper then joined in. Impact on family and others
She grew up with her head down and an instilled wariness of white Americans and the power they unjustly held over her. The effects of her upbringing are evident in the things she says (“Who can even imagine me looking a strange white man in the eye? It seems to me I have talked to them always with one foot raised in flight, with my head turned in whichever way is farthest from them.” p.6), as well as in her demeanor: she is meek, submissive to the demands of those with more dominant personalities (take Dee, for example), and tends to draw the attention away from herself. Due to this, she has resigned to what she has come to believe: that she is somehow less than a
I also think that Little man and Cassie showed courage throughout the novel. For example, they both helped out Stacey to trap the bus, and when they were in class together they stood up to the teacher when they saw the inside of the front cover of their “new” books from the Jefferson Davis School. Christopher even showed a little bit of courage when he knew something was wrong, and stood up to his sibling and said that that’s wrong and he wasn’t going. Of course they didn’t listen to him and ha still did the thing he knew was wrong he had enough courage to stand up to them. The kids were very courageous for their age, and never stopped showing
She had so much respect for her land and her family. Even during her time period Cassie was still very strong. Skin color didn’t matter to her. Cassie is very strong for not even caring about what people looked like. Cassie is the most courageous.

In the novel Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, Stacey’s perspective of friendship with T.J. and Jeremy is unique and this affects the decisions he makes in Chapter 7. Stacey allows T.J. to do almost anything around him, even though T.J. is rude and naughty. But, T.J. is still Stacey’s best friend. Stacey is pretty rude to Jeremy even though Jeremy is super nice to the Logans and T.J.’s family. Stacey’s friendship with these two boys are very different.
“I am loud like my mother. When I holler, you can hear me up and down the streets and around the corner”, “She and her friends run to the other side of the street like they being chased by boys with bricks. I’m right behind ‘em, with my fist balled up”, and “’Oh no you didn’t!’ I say, digging my elbow into some girl’s stomach. Slapping my hand up against another girl’s back, trying to get to the front of this thing,” shows that she’s loud, violent, and rude toward the
Cassie Logan starts off naive, unworldly, and oblivious to it all, but soon after she goes to school and gets racist books, then says she doesn 't want them when she shows her teacher the crude writing on the inside cover only to get a beating in front of the class, which sure isn 't right. Cassie then gets her arm wrenched by a grown white man, has deceived little Lilly Jean, and sees TJ plunge down a dark abyss into the wrong path. In Roll Of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor there are both static and dynamic characters, one of which is named Cassie who out develops the rest by learning the importance of family, bravery and self respect, and love when
Everyone has courage inside of them they just have to show it. Through Cassie´s actions she has proved she loves her family, loves the land, and knows that segregation is NOT RIGHT. She knows that equal rights is not an option in that day and age, but she will still try to make a difference in the world.

Courage is Earned! Courage can't just be said it has to be shown. In the book Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry by Mildred Taylor, Mr. L.T. Morrision is the most brave, loyal, and kind person you will meet. Mr. Morrison showed courage by standing to the Wallaces, he moved Kaleb Wallace's car off the road, and when he stayed with the Logans even though he could get hurt Mr. Morrison’s actions proved that he knows what is right and he is going to stand up for that no matter what. This is because he was getting to the white people before them. She went up to him while he was taking an order, and asked why he was not getting to them. She did not understand why people were treated this way, so she went ahead and asked. She was still not convinced that was the right thing, so she asked Stacey to help
