This letter reminded me from the times I have been away from my mom either it was in a different state or country. I missed my mom so much during those times whenever I got a phone call or text from her I felt that me and her were closer than usual. On page.196 George wrote another letter to his mother the date was October 17, 1969 he tells his mother that he wants to “rebuild the bridges between us; .. recognize the roots of our illness, and do all that we can to extricate ourselves from the mess.” No matter how many arguments we have with our mothers or what they have done to us we end up forgiving them sooner or later because we honestly need

Comparing Two Dumb Comedies I love the movie genre that involves me to laugh and brings me happiness, so I will be comparing the film “Step Brothers” with the movie “Dumb and Dumber”. I chose these two movies because they are some of my favorite movies of all time; also the genre, comedy, is my favorite to watch. These movies interest me because they make some of funniest jokes with the funniest actors. These two actors, Will Ferrell and Jim Carrey, have been some of my favorite actors since I was a child.

Throughout the letter Adams uses phrases like “my son” or “the son of your father.” Her purpose through this is to display to her son that he has nothing but support from both of his parents as he grows into the man he chooses to be. She explains that he is very fortunate to have “superior advantages,” meaning the wealth of their family, yet he should never stray from the morals that were taught to him from “a tender parent.” Adams concludes her letter with “…do honor to your country, and render your parents supremely happy, particularly your ever affectionate mother, A.A.” In this final sentence she includes everything that she expects from her son as he travels, learns, and becomes a
