Their mission will guide them to make more informed choices about what they fund, give support to, and why they started their organization. Their vision statement
My chosen leader for this assignment was my former director of the organization I currently work at, Pennyrile District Health Department, Jim Tolley. He had a vision of a big plan, and the future of not only the organization, but the communities that we serve. According to the requirements of an effective vision, I believe he was a leader to help the organization see and work towards the vision. Four requirements of a effective vision are: establish direction and mobilize the organization, communication, detail on employees part of the vision, and uplifting and inspiring (Manning & Curtis, 2008).
Envision a Mission for an Athletic Department At its core any program, including an athletic department, must have a set of core values and a mission statement, for which they can fall back on and follow. In addition to this mission, the department needs employees with a proper skill set and attitude to help move the company in the right direction, in accordance with the departments vision. A mission statement sets the tone and direction for a company, program or department. In addition, an institution is only as strong as their employees working towards that vision.

Why is it important for colleges to have a mission statement? It is important for college universities to have mission statements because it indicates what the college academic policy offers students. Mission statements should provide the organization’s purpose and sense of direction while making the university look attractive within the organization to incoming students. A successful mission statement should be able to covey ethos, pathos and logos in some sort of way which will be used in principles of the mission statements. In this paper I will be evaluating, analyzing and comparing the three mission statements that I picked from University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Coastal Carolina University, and University of Florida along
This administration values student develop theory and is dedicated to the student holistically. The administration would have excellent customer service with this mentality. At Iowa State their mission focuses on bettering Iowa and the world (Iowa State University Mission, 2016). This gives the school a very long-term and worldly viewpoint. The administration who lived this out in their work would look at the big picture of a situation and look at the common good.

Every academic institution has a set of objectives that are lined with a purpose. The purpose is to educate individuals to be well -rounded members of society. These individuals may become leaders or simply productive members of society, however it is their education that gives them the backbone to be either. Every organization has a set of goals and a mission that separates it from all other institutions as well as gives it a certain reputation in the community. The overall mission, vision, philosophy, and goals are the underlying purpose of the organization that makes it unique, Iwasiw(2015).
Political culture establishes the backdrop against which politics unfold, it establishes the outer limits of what is possible, or even probable in the political realm. Texas political culture can be described as traditionalistic and individualistic. Texas traditionalist political culture believes in the values that policies are designed to preserve social order in the state, politicians come from society’s elite, and politicians have a family obligation to govern. While on the other hand, individualistic political culture believes that government should be limited when it comes to the lives of the public, individual rights of the citizens should be the main focus of a government rule, and a stronger support of personal politics rather than elitism. Texas also has a strong populism influence.
The goals created for the organization have to be aligned with the strategic goals and overall mission of the entire organization.
