Reading and Writing are Important Stephen King's "Reading to Write" (72) give details about King's methods on becoming a better writer. To become a better writer, you must read a whole heap of books. There are so many other things you can read other than books like magazines, newspapers, labels on food, and papers. As a student in college, I understand Stephen King's methods. Reading and Writing will help me further my college education, and it will help me get to my goal. After reading Stephen King's essay "Reading to Write" (72) it opened my eyes for writing. Although being a professional novelist isn't a goal I want to pursue in my life, writing is something I will need to learn how to do with good form. When it comes to the writing department, it's not one of my best skills. King says, "Good writing, teaches the learning writer about style, graceful narration, plot development, the creation of believable characters, and truth-telling" (73). I will try my best to become a good writer.
King's article informs you about being a writer, and how important the subject to read is to be a good writer. King's guidance is helping me realize that reading a great deal, and it will help me expand my ability to write. I should have been opened up my eyes to reading and writing because I want to be a teacher, assistant. I always liked working with kids, and I will like to be a great assistant.
