In the book, she is determined to find out who killed her parents. Tandy followed every lead to her parents murder and continued trying to find the murder no matter how many dead ends she meets and how little people she can trust. Her analyzing skills help her solve the case of her parents murder later on. She 's portrayed as blunt and emotionless .
