AIM OF THE STUDY-
To identify various study skills, personal skills and interpersonal skills and find out different ways to improve it with the help of detailed research leading to betterment of the individual in the listed skills.

RATIONALE AND BACKGROUND FOR THE STUDY
Soft skills are a mixture of productive personality traits. It is required in an industry like the hospitality industry as we meet and interact with different people every day. At the point when people with similar attitude ,interest and taste meet up to work for a typical goal, a group is framed. Each individual contributes and does his level best to achieve group objectives and meet the organisational goal. A group can 't do well unless and until the point that every individual is engaged and genuine about his duties. For each colleague, his group should come first and everything else later. I have always fallen behind in choosing the right people in a team. As we say “appearance is deceiving”. There have been times when I chose people expecting them to work as a team, together, but ended up doing nothing which forced me to work all alone while the credit was taken by the entire team while it wasn’t practically ‘A TEAM’. Hence I feel I should be improving my team building skills as it would help me create a perfect team in the future which would not only make my job easier but will also give my career a great push to success.

STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES
1. To understand APA-6 referencing and do all the assignments following the proper methodology required by The University Of Huddersfield.
2.To learn proper TIME MANAGEMENT and utilise time completely to have a better life and career.
3.To set clear GOALS in life as this increases discipline and interest towards one’s career.

These may not specifically be life goals but can also be small goals such as going to the gym. Even setting small goals would have a great impact on your life, as we say ‘drop by drop creates an ocean’. I have also set my career goal to be successful in Hotel Management. My current goal in PDP is to complete this assignment with full enthusiasm and put my level best into it. A person may not find it easy initially but as the person keeps completing the set goals his confidence and will to achieve will keep increasing day by day.

CONFLICT MANAGEMENT
Conflict management can only be done by understanding the people around you. So I have decided to listen to every person’s view point from now on. I will also get a clear idea of what the conflict is, before giving out any suggestions or statements. I will also make sure that my team will have a common goal as conflict of interests is a huge problem while working in the same organisation. I will determine the barriers to the set goals as barriers lead to problems and problems lead to conflicts.
