Who would’ve thought two friends using a rap beef to spark their career could turn into a deadly battle between the West Coast and the East Coast. Tupac and Biggie have made some huge accomplishments within their rap careers. This paper will tell you a little bit about Tupac, Biggie, their beef. In New York City on June 6, 1971 a soon to be Hip Hop legend was born. This individual was most commonly known as 2Pac, but born as Tupac Shakur. He was known for his poetic skills and being very controversial. He had a great come up until his career ended with a “bang” in Las Vegas on September 13, 1996. His name is Christopher Wallace, but most of you know him as one of his multiple stage names such as: Notorious B.I.G, Biggie Smalls, and Big Papa. At a young age he got into drug dealing which was easy considering his surroundings in Brooklin. With those circumstances it was kinda hard to not get involved with bad stuff. After getting arrested for selling crack, he decided to give music the old college try, after he met Puff Daddy or as others know P. Diddy. Like Tupac his life also ended with a “bang” in 1997.
In the beginning he called himself Biggie Smalls, but then later went by Notorious B.I.G. Biggie’s first tape got noticed by a local DJ who goes by DJ Mister Cee. He then was put on The Source. This magazine is what actually got P. Diddy interested in Biggie. P. Diddy then signed Biggie Smalls to Bad Boy Records.
After he was signed he changed his name to Notorious B.I.G. Ready To Die is the title of B.I.G’s debut album that he released 1994. This album told the story from his childhood to being a rapper. This project turned him famous and went platinum really quick. As he grew bigger he went back to the people he did music with back in the day and brought them up to Bad Boy Records. Notorious soon became one of the best selling
