Ladies and gentlemen, I stand before you today to express my support for TMP Canada. TMP Canada has a critical role in supporting the Canadian economy (YouTube, 2020). TMP Canada is providing many employees an opportunity to get a job (YouTube, 2020). TMP will make sure that Canada will have energy independence (YouTube, 2020). TMP will also make sure that we pollute less in the future (YouTube, 2020). Firstly, TMP Canada creates more than 10 000 jobs (YouTube, 2020). That means that more people without employment would get a chance to get a job. Don’t you want more people to have jobs? Jobs that can feed more families. I hope that your answer is yes. The TMP will also give job opportunities to the Indigenous people (TRANSMOUNTAIN, 2023). Isn’t …show more content…
Don’t you want Canada to have energy independence? By supporting TMP Canada, we are securing our energy future and ensuring that we are not relying on other countries for oil (YouTube, 2020). This means that we can reduce our dependence on other countries and become more independent as a nation (YouTube, 2020). Thirdly, TMP Canada is committed to reducing pollution and protecting the environment (YouTube, 2020). The company has implemented strict environmental protection measures and has committed to using the latest technology to minimize its impact on the environment. The pipeline will also help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by transporting oil and gas more efficiently, thereby reducing the need for more carbon-intensive forms of transportation. All in all, TMP Canada is a project that will benefit the Canadian economy, create jobs, provide opportunities for Indigenous people, ensure energy independence, and reduce pollution (YouTube, 2020). I urge all of you to support this project and help build a better future for Canada. Thank you for …show more content…
For example, I show the fact that the project would provide job opportunities to Indigenous people, which is likely to evoke empathy and support from the audience. I also use emotive language when I state, "Don't you want more people to have jobs? Jobs that can feed more families." Logos: I used logos by presenting logical arguments that supported my choices. For example, I argued that supporting TMP Canada would ensure energy independence and reduce dependence on other countries. I also argued that the pipeline would help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which is a logical and compelling argument. Rhetorical questions: I used rhetorical questions to make the audience reflect on their choice. For example, when I asked, don’t you want Canada to have energy independence? The audience will reflect on their choice of energy independence and consider supporting TMP Canada. I also asked, isn’t that great? after mentioning the job opportunities that TMP Canada would provide for the Indigenous people, which I used so that the audience would get positive emotions and start to support the
good morning to you all I am William MacDougall from Canada west. I believe that the entire nation would benefit from confederation, I have prepared a couple of reasons why. If the entire nation would combine to one then we would have a great government with a solid defense that everyone will benefit from. Confederation would provide a bigger economy because we will be combining two pre-existing economies to make a better one.
Second, it must offer Canadians, all Canadians, the real opportunity to participate in the energy industry in general and the petroleum industry in particular, and to share in the benefits of industry expansion. Third, it must establish a petroleum pricing and revenue-sharing regime that recognizes the requirements of fairness to all Canadians no matter where they live." However, here is the real reason behind the National Energy Program, as Rt. Honourable Marc Lalonde, Minister of Energy, put it, "The major factor behind the NEP wasn’t Canadianization or getting more from the industry or even self-sufficiency.
For decades, Canada has treated the Aboriginal peoples of Canada unfairly and that must change. The Environmental Party of Canada will strive to shine a light on these issues and bring awareness
Trudeau envisions Canada as composed of “diverse cultures” living in mutual respect, support and by sharing the nation in peace and in justice. Through bilingualism and the Multiculturalism Policy in 1971, Trudeau attempts to strengthen the national identity of Canada as a multicultural nation. At the same time, it encourages Canadians to embrace aspects of collectivism such as cooperation and collective interest. Trudeau further emphasizes the need for collectivism by stating that it is not regional barriers that will strengthen the economy but rather the bilingualism and the sharing of land such as crown like like national parks. While collectivism was emphasized through bilingualism and the Multiculturalism Policy in 1971, individualism was emphasized through the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
There are two main reasons why Justin Trudeau should be the next Prime Minister of Canada. These two reasons are, he plans to keep CBC/Radio Canada, and he is planning on lowering taxes for the middle class. Firstly, Stephen Harper cut millions of funding dollars for the CBC. This is totally unreasonable. CBC is Canada’s CNN, it is known all over the world and for Stephen Harper to continue to reduce its spending towards it is totally unacceptable.
The Manifesto calls for Canada to source its electricity from 100% renewable energy in the next two decades and transform to a 100% clean economy by 2050. Other demands include expanding public transit and creating a high-speed rail powered by renewables, curtailing trade deals, expanding the low-carbon sector of the economy, and fostering a localized agriculture system (“The Leap Manifesto”). The Manifesto also suggests the money needed to finance this economic shift is available if governments are willing to shift their policy directives. Based on the “polluter pays” principle, Leap argues a carbon tax, increased resources royalties, and an end to fossil fuel subsidies, among others, can generate enough revenue for Canada to begin a new phase in its economic development
Tim Hortons and its customers work well together. As the biggest (and most recognized) coffee and doughnut company in the nation, the restaurant chain has developed a distinct brand identity. They are currently developing a social identity that supports and drives that brand on a worldwide level. Tim Hortons prefers a people-first social strategy that represents the company's values over targeting the entire country of Canada as their key audience and using that audience to engage and create relevant content.
Aucoin would agree with this plan because Justin is not over using his authority and is spreading the power into his parliament to make a real change in Canada while still staying within the rules and is keeping his word to Canadians. Mr. Trudeau plans or improving partnerships with provincial, territorially, and municipal governments are crucial in brining real change to Canada and the biggest relationship to fix is with Indigenous People in regards to rights, respect, co operations, and most importantly partnership. Also Justin Trudeau has committed bringing new leadership to Canada and one way he plans on doing this is by allowing more openness and transparency in government to shine the light on the government to show the people that they are there to serve the people and not themselves. Aucoin would agree with these set commitments because there is a clear objective of fixing relationships with no loopholes and he is serving for the population and not the
Canadians, used to seeing leadership of technology in the hands of the United States and Britain, were suddenly aware that they had something that looked like the best in the world. 15:15 This quote stood out to me during the documentary, because of Canada 's recognition of their countrys ' limitations. Canada, because of their size and economic restrictions, relies heavily on countries such as the United States. The United States provide opportunity and finacial aid to Canadians as a whole. For example, many of the people who worked on the plane in Canada have gone on to the United States to do great things.
Canadians are very grateful, for as they know that other countries don’t get the kind of luxury they have been given and that has been given to them even for doing
Based on the research regarding the Canadian experience towards ideal politicians, they expect their leaders to be pragmatic political fixers and problem solvers (Azzi, 2013). In general, Canadian politics is considered to be quiet, moderate, and progressive. At the appropriate time, Justin Trudeau appeared with this image and won the hearts of Canadian. On his way to the prime minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau got positive public assessment in many opinion surveys.
Canada is now known to be a diverse, multicultural, bilingual and inclusive nation largely as a result of his work. Pierre Elliott Trudeau also believed in an equal Canada for all, he is primarily the one to introduce rights and freedoms to the citizens of Canada. While some view Pierre Trudeau as impulsive, for enforcing the War Measures Act, Trudeau enacted this for the protection of Canadian citizens against radical extremist and his actions were more rational than impulsive for the situation that had suddenly occurred. Pierre Trudeau was one of Canada’s greatest Prime Minister’s, who’s impact fundamentally changed the course of the nation by introducing multiculturalism, for introducing the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and for paradoxically upholding democracy by strong action during the October Crisis.
Persuasive Speech Ah Australia. The land of opportunity. The land of freedom and equality. The land of wealth and good health. The lucky country.
