Why are music videos needed?
To Promote (the song and artist)
To extend income
To provide more outlets
To create synergy
To promote
The primary purpose of a music video is to make profit- through video views and single sales. By creating a popular music video, in turn the song will then too become popular.
Through Music videos, artists receive double the publicity as the video provides a larger range of outlets such as play on music channels and on YouTube and Vimeo. If the video is interesting, unique or holds a strong message it may be shared on social media popularizing the song and exposing itself to a broader range of people.

It all depends on the artists personal preference and the record company behind them.
Some songs simply are not good enough to gain popularity without a controversial video so artists like Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga often use them.
To extend income
Without a video, an artist would lose their main promotional tool which grants them an audience on YouTube and TV so in turn the song would be less popular, make less money and the artist wouldn’t get as much publicity. Also the benefits that come with the music video such as establishing an image, product placement revenue and recognition would be lost.
If a music video gets popular then subsequently the song will gain popularity too and therefore sell more copies. A music video can be shown on more areas, such as TV and the internet in which there is a larger audience to reach so having a video would benefit the artist’s sales.
The music video will reach more people if it’s funny, unique or controversial which means a larger audience will watch the video whilst hearing the song and in turn more copies of the song will be purchased. If product placement is used revenues will be earned providing the artist with more

See You Again from the Fast and Furious films was incredibly popular due to the links with the movie.
Similarly if a film’s soundtrack is popular the film in turn will become more popular, in the case of The Great Gatsby although the film was considered mediocre the soundtrack was immensely popular.
Artists also receive publicity through the film and vice versa, making it very efficient to collaborate with films. Also footage from the movie can be used in the music video, saving money for the artist.
Although if the movie or song is hated then in turn the other half receives a bad reputation also, making it a little risky to combine forces in case one production is badly received.
How do different types of music video producers have different strategies for videos?
The companies budget strongly influences the music video, companies like psycho, Warner brothers, Sony and Island records will decide if a song is good enough to receive the endorsement of a video as there is no point giving the weakest song a video if it doesn't’t get
Songs often appeal to certain people due to their personality traits and what they value. Songs also remind
These usually don't overpower the the senses even to distract the audience; if fact, these songs could be the exact cause of a long, personal look into one’s self. Another reason behind this could be concerts and how entertaining they are. Some people like to be able to rock out during a concert and be able to get up and move. The audience may want to be able to dance in a way that is different than square dancing. Artists have probably noticed this within today's society.
In reality, it infringes the First Amendment. It can also be related to the music industry. Because certain record labels prioritize the materialistic benefits from a successful music artist they would rather advertise than give any say to the musician committing the entertainment. Thus, it can negatively affect an individual emotionally and illustrates a violation of the human
Artists should use their music in advertising because they will be able to make larger sums of money in addition to gaining popularity. A important reason artists should put their music in ads is because they will be able to make more money. According to Carter, data journalist David McCandless says that "a signed solo artist would need about 5,478 iTunes downloads of a song per month versus 4,200,000 YouTube streams per month just to make the U.S. minimum wage." This clearly shows that artists do not make enough money from just streaming music. As people move more toward music streaming, artists will continue to earn less money.
Because it is famous and hard to listen to which is a kind of new type of music so that it made people felt inserted about it. Especially the popular singers and fashion people. They wanted to get a lot of ideas for creative new product to audience. Actually these people would lend
Different people connect with music in different ways, for many teens music can be an escape from their real lives and show them a sort of promised
Music has a special way of projecting ideas and getting desired points across. These ideas or desired points may be directly stated, such as in the lyrics, or they may be indirectly stated, such as through the music video of the song. Both direct and indirect statements are equally important in portraying the message of a song and the overall worldview the song portrays. Each worldview answers three questions: “Where am I?” , “Who am I?”
Music can make a scene more compelling because it adds emotion to a scene. For example, in the beginning of the documentary when the narrator was talking about Kristallnacht, there was a frantic orchestra accompanying his more and added sound effects of glass breaking. It makes a person feel more anxious and frightened of what is to come and sets the tone for the documentary, since the event of Kristallnacht is one of the best pieces of evidence as to why Jewish people need to be able to escape the terrors of Hitler’s control as soon as possible. Another example is when there would be a transition of a scene to the Klein family, and the music had a melancholy tune to it and it added more to the scene to draw out more emotion from the viewers.
Advertisements help pay an artist’s bills which allows them to make more music. Commercials can also help pay for the costs for tours and artists can make an innumerable amount of money. Promotions can bring a more varied audience to a musician and can help bands gain popularity. By having more people listening to an artist’s music, a musician can be given a sense of reassurance to write more songs. Recently people are debating about whether advertisers should be allowed to use a musicians’ music.
Music, according to scientific studies motivates people when they are working for social change. This is due to the fact that when we get involved in an organization, we do it because we feel a need to make a difference. It is important to develop empathy toward the cause. Motivating music can be defined as music that heightens your emotional state, as well as, a song or hymn that you naturally move and groove to while listening. In fact, your body naturally moves when it experiences emotion.
For example, in the video for Jay Z and Kanye West’s Song “in Paris” the video show how crazy the crowd is going which can interest the audience to buy tickets for the artist’s future concerts as they like the look of it. Also, performance based music videos are usually much cheaper to produce than a narrative or a conceptual. A disadvantage of a performance based videos is that the video can get repetitive quite quickly
Do you support the use of an artist’s music advertising? Yes, I think artist should advertise their music. The reason I say artist should advertise their music because it will get them a bigger fan base. I support that artist should be able to advertise their music. When you advertise the music it benefits the artist but also the person their fans and supporters.
Should musicians use their music in advertising? I personally think that musicians should use their music in advertising to an extent. I believe they should do this for 3 reasons including, they need to make money to survive and get more music. Also, they have to get their music out someway without systems like Spotify. Finally, they need to be able to make money off less downloads.
It all depends on who the artist is and if they are inspired to write or not. A song is like a three minute story. There’s a beginning, a middle, and of course an end. The main purpose of a song is to tell that story, whether it is about love, heartbreak, bad times, good times, it is a story that is being told.
-The production is accomplished can be an awe of inspiring process itself -The quality of visual effects engender a film culture based process -Digital technology allows spectators to enjoy visual fluidity and epic structure of historic events. Cons of Visual effects -Visual effects causes film erosion as some argue that it is occurring when movies require the use of stunts to increase the action to higher levels of intensity -It makes the film maker to be lazy -In some film, music videos, Visual effects are overused -Visual effects are mainly focused on audience manipulation ETHICAL CONSIDERATION : Ethical consideration for topic comes under social ethics because of some music videos containing explicit content. Music video makers are allowed whatever they wanted to convey but at sometimes it gets wrong, explicit and violent music videos are also growing and does not get a censorship. Music videos comes under media ethics definitely, but sometimes ethics also changes, music videos where made for passion and now music videos are made for huge money and award ceremony.
