What Freedom Means to Me Freedom has many faces. To some, it is to fight for what you believe is right, while others see it as the ability to do as you please. However, for me, I believe that Freedom means the ability to choose your own leader, and protest issues freely. There are numerous definitions of Freedom, and those two are very important to me. Firstly, I believe that Freedom means that we, as citizens, can choose our own leader. This is one of the core concepts of a Representative Democracy, where a Representative is the voice of a larger population. In fact, this is one of multiple rights that the Colonists fought for in the American Revolutionary War. Also, without this very concept, we’d end up as the figurehead of the exact opposite
